Some of your favorite famous faces have taken Halloween to a whole new level this year - but one celebrity who’s received backlash for their ‘uncomfortable and unacceptable’ costume is model and actress Julia Fox.
Heidi Klum’s horrifying’ Medusa Halloween 2025 costume has already broken the internet, as has former Little Mix star Jade Thirwall and her partner Jordan Stephen’s joint Gremlins-inspired getup, which fans hailed as ‘iconic’.
But Fox, 35, has divided social media by dressing up as former First Lady of the United States, Jackie Kennedy.
When the late socialite’s husband, President John F. Kennedy, was assassinated in Dallas, Texas, she was wearing a wool bouclé, double-breasted raspberry pink Chanel suit.

She famously insisted on wearing the fashion statement, stained with her husband's blood, during the swearing-in ceremony of President Lyndon B. Johnson on board Air Force One.

When asked if she wanted to take off the suit, Jackie reportedly said: “Oh, no ... I want them to see what they have done to Jack.”
For Halloween 2025, the Adults actress donned a replica version of Jackie’s pink Chanel suit, causing Jackie’s grandson, John Schlossberg, to brand it as ‘disgusting, desperate, and dangerous’.

“I’m sure her late grandmother would agree,” he added.
Others agreed, as one person commented on a video of the star's outfit on X, saying: "62 years later and this is still uncomfortable and unacceptable."
Someone else said they thought it was 'still in poor taste to dress as someone's trauma', while another said it was 'completely tone deaf, ignorant & lacks compassion'.
The mother-of-one has since hit back at critics, explaining her Jackie O tribute celebrated a woman ‘weaponizing’ her image.

Taking to Instagram to clear the air, she began: “I’m dressed as Jackie Kennedy in the pink suit. Not as a costume, but as a statement.
“When her husband was assassinated, she refused to change out of her blood-stained clothes, saying, 'I want them to see what they’ve done'.”
Fox continued: “The image of the delicate pink suit splattered with blood is one of the most haunting juxtapositions in modern history. Beauty and horror. Poise and devastation.

“Her decision not to change clothes, even after being encouraged to, was an act of extraordinary bravery.”
Calling the decision ‘performance, protest, and mourning all at once’, the Him star claimed: “A woman weaponizing image and grace to expose brutality. It’s about trauma, power, and how femininity itself is a form of resistance. Long live Jackie O.”

Fox also thanked New York hair stylist John Novotny and makeup artist Jake Dupont for helping her bring the look to life.
As well as turning into Jackie, the New York Times bestselling author emulated a nurse for spooky season.
“Nurse!!! She’s did it again!!!!,” she wrote, alongside a carousel of images shared to Instagram.
