Holly Madison, one of Hugh Hefner's former girlfriends, reflected on her time in the Playboy Mansion and the steps she had to take to get hygienic changes in the house.
Madison has previously spoken about the ups and downs of her time in the infamous Los Angeles residence, most notably her relationship with the now deceased Hefner.
She dated the Playboy founder - who passed away aged 91 in 2017 - from 2001 to 2008 and lived in the Playboy Mansion during this time.
Speaking on The Skinny Confidential podcast earlier this month, Madison highlighted one uncomfortable detail when it came to the cleanliness of the property.

She said: “The house wasn’t always in the best shape.
“I was always kind of lobbying Hef saying ‘let’s replace this carpet’ or this isn’t great and he was very resistant to change and he didn’t want to spend the money on it.
“And the company owned the house and they didn’t want to spend any money on anything.”
This sounds bad enough, with things falling apart and not being in the best condition, but Madison went into more detail about a rather unhygienic aspect.
The 45-year-old continued: “There was a lot of stained carpet and a lot of dogs peeing in the hallway and just things like that. Things that just weren’t the bad.”
It seems the frustrations around the cleanliness of the Playboy Mansion weren't just an issue for Madison, as another ex-girlfriend of Hefner has previously complained about it.
In fact, Kendra Wilkinson opened up about a disgusting situation she experienced there.
During an appearance on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on KIIS FM last year, Wilkinson spoke about one of Hefner's habits that she was not a fan of.
She said: "[The Playboy Mansion] was pretty nasty. You know, there was dog poop everywhere. And Hef would wobble by and just pick it up with his bare hands."
Wilkinson admitted that she has ultimately had to come to terms with the more concerning aspects of being in the mansion, being the partner of Hefner, a man who was over 60 years her senior.
Speaking to People last year, she admitted: "I’ve had to face my demons. Playboy really messed my whole life up.
"Why did I have sex with an old man at that age? Why did I do that? Why did I go to the mansion in the first place?
"I was there for the partying, OK, let's just be real. I was not there for Hugh Hefner to be my boyfriend.
"I don't really see things the same way as the other girls because Hef was never really my boyfriend. I was at the Playboy Mansion for the sake of partying, that's what I was there for."
