George Clooney has detailed the one rule he always follows in his marriage to Amal Clooney.
The actor, 64, married international human rights lawyer Amal, 47, in 2014 and has since welcome twins Alexander and Ella.
Clooney has spoken openly about his marriage in the past and how he first met Amal in 2013.
"I wasn't really in the market for being a dad. Then I met Amal and we fell in love," he told the New York Times. "I have to say that, after that, everything made sense."

Clooney seemingly didn't rate his chances when he first met his now-wife, having assumed the age gap between the pair would mean Amal wouldn't be interested.

Following a bit of a chat with his wife, Clooney has revealed he now follows one rule that means he cannot kiss other women on screen for any film roles.
"I've been trying to go the route Paul Newman did, 'OK, well, I'm not kissing a girl any more,'" Clooney told the Daily Mail. "When I turned 60, I had a conversation with my wife. I said, 'Look, I can still play basketball with the boys. I play with 25-year-old guys'.
"I can still hang, I'm in shape. But in 25 years, I'm 85 years old. It doesn't matter how many granola bars you eat, that's a real number.'"
With the New York Times, Clooney detailed what that first interaction with his now wife was like.
"I was like, ‘Oh my God!’ Then I didn’t really think I’d have much of a chance with her because I was 17 years older and she seemed to have everything she needed," he recalled.
Years prior, Clooney sat down Hollywood Reporter to discuss his marriage in further detail and how he thought she was 'funny and smart'.

He said: "I thought she was beautiful, and I thought she was funny and obviously smart. She probably thought I was old.
"Then she sent some pictures from when she was here, and we were writing each other, emailing, talking, mostly about what was going on in each other’s lives, and over a period of time it became clear we were more than just friends."
The Oceans 11 actor told E! News in September 2024 how he tries to keep his very successful career hidden from his children.
"I don’t want them to for the most part,” Clooney admitted as he said he doesn't know what to say when his children ask him what he does.
"But they did say to me one day when they came home from school, 'What’s ‘famous?' Which we didn’t want to explain," Clooney added.
In the same interview, Amal said she believes Alexander and Ella know their dad is an actor.
