The Playboy Mansion had some pretty weird rules about food.
The infamous house, home of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner and A-list spot for many an LA party, formed the backdrop of the 2000s reality TV show, The Girls Next Door.
The show followed Hefner and his 'Playboy Bunnies' and other playmates who lived in the mansion, and while there were certainly perks, there were just as many rules to abide by.
This includes mealtimes, inspired by Hefner's rather odd personal preferences and instruction to keep the women, staff and guests fed up on a healthy diet.

However, the 91-year-old reportedly had quite the sweet tooth, which saw Playboy Mansion head chef for more than two decades, William S. Bloxsom-Carter, keeping the kitchen stocked with pies, cakes and other goodies.

"You should see his little cookie drawer," the chef told Gourmet in 2021. "It's actually not all that little."
Examples include peanut butter and jelly cookies, brownies, Rice Krispies treats and, Hefner's personal favorite, oatmeal cookies.
In terms of staying healthy, he ordered 'low fat, no cream soups' with 'everything fresh' and 'no freezer meat.'
"We stay away from butter and use lots of natural reductions instead," the chef said.
Hefner also liked to tuck into 'half a grapefruit every day', though this was paired with a jelly donut from Winchell's.
After breakfast, however, Hefner either skipped out on lunch or saw it dished up far later at around 5.30pm. Dinner time could then be pushed even further, to around 10.30pm.
According to a sit-down interview with Vanity Fair, Hefner rarely ate lunch but would graze on snacks - like a slice of banana cream pie and a glass of milk.
Yet, regardless of the time, the Playboy boss made sure lamb chops were on offer, at least once a week, with a sauce, baked potato and some vegetables with a side of apple sauce.

The weird part about this was the way the chops were served - the bones of the chops had to be positioned to the center of the plate with a drizzle of sauce across each, yet the potato did not come with butter and was set separately, away from the sauce.
Hefner also had a generous list of 31 very specific meals and items that he liked to order at any time of day, according to Bloxsom-Carter.
"So he can call down to the kitchen and say, 'I'd like the number 6 [grilled cheese sandwich, potato chips, apple sauce, and two oatmeal cookies], or the number 21 [fried chicken strips, baked potato, caper dip, and two oatmeal cookies]," the head chef explained.
