Elon Musk's daughter accuses him of 'illegally keeping' Grimes' children away from their mom

Elon Musk's daughter has accused him of 'illegally keeping' the children he shares with singer, Grimes, away from their mom.

Musk, 53 and Grimes, 36 were together for three years and have three children together.

But since their split, they have been embroiled in a custody battle over the kids, the status of which is currently unknown.

The pair first started dating back in May 2018 and welcomed their first child together, son X Æ A-12 in May 2020.

In March 2022, Grimes said that the couple had also welcomed a baby girl, Exa Dark Siderael, via surrogate, three months earlier.

“I would probably refer to him as my boyfriend, but we’re very fluid," she told Vanity Fair at the time.

"We live in separate houses. We’re best friends. We see each other all the time. ... We just have our own thing going on, and I don’t expect other people to understand."

Not long after the interview, Grimes confirmed they had split.

In 2023, it was later confirmed that the couple had welcomed a third child, a son named Techno Mechanicus - also via surrogate.

Fast-forward to this week and Grimes' mother has publicly criticised Musk for allegedly withholding the kids from their mom.

Sandy Garossino tweeted Musk on X, explaining that her mother - the kids' grandmother - 'yearns to see and hold' the children 'one last time', claiming that she hasn't even met one of them yet.

Apparently, the children were set to visit her in Canada but the trip had allegedly been cancelled.

"She was thrilled for the kids' planned visit to celebrate her birthday this weekend. Today. But those hopes were crushed when the trip was canceled," said Garossino.

"I am alarmed to learn that the children cannot come as you are withholding them and their needed passport documents from Claire," she added, referring to Grimes' given name.

"Where are the other children, and with whom? They are scheduled to be with their mother. They were expected here in Canada."

Garossino pleaded with Musk to return the kids, adding: "Honour your agreement, return the children, and provide the documents they need to see their great grandmother before she passes.

"Please Elon, I beg you. This is so painful for my mother, and concerning for the kids. Time is of the essence now."

Musk's daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson has also weighed into the argument, posting on Threads and accusing her father of 'illegally keeping' the kids from Grimes.

"As you may or may not know, Grimes is currently in a custody battle with Elon over their 3 children," she said.

"What you probably don’t know, however, is that Elon has been illegally and continuously keeping their children, her children, away from their mother during the most important developmental period in a child’s life.

"While Elon has been irresponsibly partying across the ocean in the very country he’s spitting contemptuous poison about, Grimes’ children are stuck in a house thousands of miles away without their mother.

"This is potentially irreversibly damaging to a child’s psyche and is, without question, a despicable form of abuse. This is not the first time this has happened and if nothing changes, likely not the last."

Wilson - who is transgender - recently criticized Musk in an NBC interview where she called him 'cold' and 'uncaring and narcissistic'.

It came after a recent interview with Jordan Peterson saw Musk describe his daughter coming out as transgender as being 'killed by the woke mind virus.'

In 2022, Wilson filed a petition to change her name, saying she didn't 'wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form.'
