Chappell Roan announced that she has left Wasserman, the sports and entertainment agency founded by CEO Casey Wasserman, after the latest batch of Jeffrey Epstein files included his correspondence with Ghislaine Maxwell.
“As of today, I am no longer represented by Wasserman, the talent agency led by Casey Wasserman,” the Grammy winner shared on her Instagram Stories on Monday (February 9).
She added: “I hold my teams to the highest standards and have a duty to protect them as well. No artist, agent or employee should ever be expected to defend or overlook actions that conflict deeply with our own moral values.
“I have deep respect and appreciation for the agents and staff who work tirelessly for their artists and I refuse to passively stand by.”

The singer shared that ‘artists deserve representation that aligns with their values and supports their safety and dignity'.

She concluded: : “This decision reflects my belief that meaningful change in our industry requires accountability and leadership that earns trust.”
The Department of Justice’s three million files released in relation to Epstein allegedly contained a flirty email from Wasserman, who founded his agency in 2002, and Maxwell, from 2003.
According to the dates of the emails in the files, Wasserman was less than two years into his marriage to ex-wife Laura Ziffren when he and Maxwell began their sexually suggestive exchange.

The CEO was seen asking her on April 1, 2003: “Where are you, I miss you. I will be in NYC for 4 days starting april 22… can we book that massage now?”
A day later, Maxwell, 64, wrote that ‘all that rubbing - are you sure you can take it?'
“There are a few spots that apparently drive a man wild - I suppose I could practise them on you and you could let me know if they work or not?” she added.
Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2022 for her part in sexual exploitation and abuse of multiple minor girls with the disgraced financier.
Wasserman has released a statement where he explained his side of the story.

According to the exec, he didn’t have a ‘relationship’ with Epstein, stating: "I never had a personal or business relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.
"As is well documented, I went on a humanitarian trip as part of a delegation with the Clinton Foundation in 2002 on the Epstein plane. I am terribly sorry for having any association with either of them."
He has since been called to resign his post on the LA28 Olympics committee.
UNILAD has contacted Wasserman for a comment.
