Carrie Underwood made it clear on social media how she felt after she got booed during the show.
Singer Carrie Underwood got some pushback from the crowd while revealing what she thought about a contestants performance on the Monday, March 2, episode of the reality TV show American Idol.
Contestant Mor took a risk by performing an original song for Hollywood Week and Underwood didn’t hold back when criticizing.
Before the performance, Mor said: “My audition was nothing short of a blessing... I was able to sing my original song and that meant a lot to me.

“There's definitely moments where I have doubts if this is the right choice or not. Especially a song you wrote that no one knows. It puts a lot of weight on the performance itself.”

He then proceeded to play his guitar and sing with no backing band for his song ‘How to Love you.’
After the performance, Underwood said: “I feel you guys are gonna boo me. It's coming — just bring it on. I love it. Your boos are feeding me.
“In a room like this, for you to bring an original song with that incredible band sitting behind you twiddling their thumbs... I feel like it was just a missed opportunity.
“I love your voice. I love you. But I loved being in an intimate room like that with you and listening to you tell your story. I feel like you took a risk here and it paid off.”
Underwood later doubled down and wrote on X: “Boo me. I don’t care.”
In a follow up post, she wrote: “Singing original music is SUCH a gamble at this stage in the competition. Don’t. Waste. The. Band. Mor’s voice and previous audition kept him in. I wanna hear his original music after he’s a big star!"
The whole situation on American Idol seemed to go over a lot of fans’ heads however, with many questioning what the star could possibly be getting booed for.
Some went as far to suggest she was booed for her political leanings rather than her comments criticizing the singer.
Mor took the criticism well in the moment, thanking Underwood for her feedback and later saying in a confessional that he didn’t regret his decision to sing an original song.
He said: "I loved being able to do that song for all those people.”
