Brad Pitt has broken his silence on his almost decade-long divorce from Angelina Jolie after the pair finally reached a settlement.
For the last eight years, Pitt, 61, has been at the center of a media frenzy due to his high-profile divorce from his second wife, fellow Mr. & Mrs. Smith co-star Jolie.
Jolie, 49, made a bombshell claim that the Fight Club actor was abusive to her and their kids, with particular emphasis on an incident that allegedly took place on a flight to France back in 2016.

During their divorce proceedings, it was revealed in court documents that the Girl, Interrupted star had claimed she was attacked by her then husband, with one of their children also allegedly being assaulted on the flight in question - an accusation which Pitt has denied.
The FBI also investigated the accusation and Pitt was not charged with anything.

A settlement for the divorce was reached between the pair on the final day of the year in 2024.

Now, ahead of the release of Pitt's latest movie F1: The Movie - which is in theaters across the US on June 27 - the 61-year-old sat down with GQ to talk about the making of the film, but he also broke his silence for the first time on the controversial divorce proceedings.
Touching on how his family life has made headlines, the father-of-six said: "My personal life is always in the news. It’s been in the news for 30 years, bro. Or some version of my personal life, let’s put it that way."
The Oklahoma-born actor, who is currently in a relationship with 32-year-old Ines de Ramon, was then asked by GQ Reporter Daniel Riley whether F1: The Movie and the car that he spent much of his time in on set offered 'refuge from all the attention?'.
"Um, I don’t see it that way,” Pitt said. “It’s been an annoyance I’ve had to always deal with in different degrees, large and small, as I do the things I really want to do.

"So, it’s always been this kind of nagging time suck or waste of time, if you let it be that, I don’t know. I don’t know. Mostly I feel pretty…. My life is fairly contained.
"It feels pretty warm and secure with my friends, with my loves, with my fam, with my knowledge of who I am, that, you know, it’s like this fly buzzing around a little bit.”
And when asked if he feels different being on the other side of the divorce finally being finalized, and if he feels any relief, Pitt replied: "No, I don’t think it was that major of a thing. Just something coming to fruition. Legally."
