Blake Lively issues scathing statement after Justin Baldoni drags Taylor Swift into $400,000,000 lawsuit

Days after fans spotted that Swift's fiancé Travis Kelce unfollowed Lively's husband Reynolds, the singer has commented on the lawsuit

Taylor Swift has been dragged into the bitter $400 million lawsuit between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.

It comes just days after eagle-eyed fans spotted that Swift's fiancé Travis Kelce unfollowed Ryan Reynolds on social media, with rumors mounting that it could be to do with the court filings exchanged between Lively and her It Ends With Us co-star Baldoni.

While a relationship breakdown between Swift and Lively has not confirmed, the pair were regarded as best friends - having first connected back in 2015 - with the 35-year-old singer even named godmother for all three of the 37-year-old's daughters.

Now, a spokesperson for Lively has responded to news that Baldoni's legal team have subpoenaed Swift into the court case.

In a statement issued to Page Six, they claimed that the actor and Wayfarer Studios co-founder Steve Sarowitz are continuing 'to turn a case of sexual harassment and retaliation into entertainment for the tabloids'.

Before heaping praise on Swift for being 'a woman who has given a voice to millions the world over'.

Lively's spokesperson continued: “The defendants continue to publicly intimidate, bully, shame and attack women’s rights and reputations.

"Including in the past month seeking to strike down for all a powerful California victims’ rights law, calling it ‘unconstitutional."

They added: "The disturbing actions by a billionaire, men who made their careers as ‘female allies’ and their team continue to show their true colors."

UNILAD has contacted Baldoni's reps and Wayfarer Studios for comment.

How Taylor Swift's reps responded

Taylor Swift's representative has also commented in a statement issued to the publication, claiming that the pop star was being used 'to draw public interest by creating tabloid clickbait instead of focusing on the facts of the case'.

Adding: “[Swift] never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film, she did not even see It Ends With Us until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history."

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni's legal battle explained

In December 2024, Lively filed a legal complaint against Baldoni for sexual harassment and allegedly taking part in a 'smear campaign' against her.

In January, the star filed another lawsuit for harassment and retaliation alleging Baldoni engaged in inappropriate behavior on set - including in one scene where their characters perform a slow dance.

Baldoni denied all the claims and his company filed its own suit against the mom-of-four - seeking $400 million in damages, while also releasing on-set footage of the scene in question.

Lively's lawyer Michael Gottlieb has accused Baldoni's camp of making 'inflammatory extrajudicial comments' about the case, while Baldoni's attorney Bryan Freedman has accused Lively's team of trying to impose a 'gag order' on him to stop him from talking to the press.

The case is currently set to go to court in March 2026.
