The Baldoni vs Blake Lively saga continues, with the pair currently in the midst of attempting to negotiate their million-dollar suit.

It's been a year and a half since Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni first filed their respective cases against one another, with the former claiming that the latter had lodged a smear campaign about her to tear down her reputation.

In December 2024, Lively sued Baldoni, alleging retaliation and sexual harassment, leading her to seek around $160 million in damages.

While a trial was scheduled in New York for May 2026, the pair have been mediating to come to an agreement.

However, after six hours of back and forth, it appears that one hasn’t been reached.

In fact, according to reports, Lively walked out with her lawyer, while Baldoni and his wife left minutes later hand in hand.

Baldoni’s countersuit against both Lively and Ryan Reynolds included him accusing the married couple of extortion and defamation, but a judge dismissed it.

The Daily Mail reported their negotiations took place in two adjoining courtrooms on the same floor of the New York courthouse, and that Lively promptly left with lawyer Michael Gottlieb.

According to a source, no settlement had been reached and they will next appear on Thursday to try again.

Essentially this is a last-ditch attempt to resolve the dispute at the US District Court in Manhattan, otherwise they’ll go to trial.

Judge Sarah L Cave is set to preside over the hearing, and close off the case to the media.

It was also reported that neither actor attended the January 22 settlement conference, held just days after Lively’s December 21, 2024 text messages to Taylor Swift were made public.

According to court papers, Swift told Lively in the exchange after she filed her suit against Baldoni: “You won. You did it.”

Recently, Reynolds’ texts about Baldoni also came to light.

He reportedly wrote in August 2024: "I'm super frustrated because this is a moment in which Blake should be celebrating. She made this unbelievable win happen.

"She WILLED this weekend into reality. Baldoni and these other buckets of dumb-dumb-juice should be acknowledging the speculation and gossip themselves.

"They should be jumping in front of it in the most full throated, unqualified way. Now."

He allegedly added to a WME executive: "I'd put Blake's reputation on trial any day of the week. She's worked with ... dozens of other mercurial, and abusive people.

"In her experience (and mine), nobody has ever reached the empyrean heights of vile the way Justin Baldoni has.

"His complete lack of not only remorse but self-preservation is a character study in malignant, lazy-lidded stupidity and darkness."

As of right now, there’s no update on the legal case.
