Anthony Joshua released a solemn tribute to his two friends Latif Ayodele and Sina Ghami following their death in a car crash.
Back in late December last year, the former boxing heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua was involved in a car crash while travelling in Nigeria.
Joshua came out of the crash relatively unharmed, and videos of him being helped out of the totalled vehicle quickly spread on social media. He was taken to a local hospital and released a few days later.
However, Latif Ayodele and Sina Ghami, whom Joshua regarded as 'brothers', were killed in the crash. Ayodele was Joshua's personal trainer, while Ghami was his strength coach.

The man behind the wheel of the vehicle at the time of the crash, Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, has since been charged with four offences, including causing death by dangerous driving, of which he has pleaded not guilty.

On January 4, Joshua shared two photos of himself alongside the families of Ayodele and Ghami, captioning the snap: "My Brothers Keeper."
Now, on January 29, Joshua shared a video on all of his social media pages, reflecting on the loss of his two friends, his feelings and his future.
Joshua said, in part: “That was such an unforeseen circumstance that was out of all of our control.
“Not only did their parents, their uncles, their cousins, their friends and myself lose two great men, we lost people that we dearly care about and have been major players in all of our lives.
"It's tough. It's really tough."
He also addressed the common nature on social media for people to overanalyze how people grieve, as he continued: “I'm not gonna sit here and show all of my emotions. I know in today's day and age, it's easy to analyze people, pass judgment, but I know what I thought, and I know how I feel.
“I know what my duty is. They were my brothers, my friends, first and foremost. Then we became business partners, we became hustlers, we became generals, we became everything. We became housemates, who were living together.”
Joshua even went on to speak about his own death in the future, adding: "One day my time will come and I'm not scared either at all.
"It's actually comforting knowing I got two brothers on the other side.
"I've lost people before, but I don't think I've lost people like that. My left and my right."
Speaking about his commitment to Ghami and Ayodele’s family, he said he will help them ‘achieve their goals’ and fulfil their dreams.
Thanking everyone for their support, Joshua continued: "For anyone out there that's lost a son, a brother, one love to you."
