Amy Schumer has spiced up her social media with a new picture showing off her body after losing weight, as she explained why she had to do it for her health.
The 44-year-old comedian has been candid about her journey after admitting to taking GLP-1 medications to aid in her weight shedding after being diagnosed with a disease.
The actress got her her Cushing Syndrome diagnosis, with Schumer revealing that it was thanks to comments on social media that she was able to see something was wrong.
But the Trainwreck star soon looked significantly different in a picture posted to Instagram, as she admitted she had been through a 50 pound weight loss.

In a series of snaps, she showed off her new body, with one post being of her on her stairs in a dress, and another of her packing for a trip away.
Now, she’s posted a new selfie, but this time in a red swimsuit, that’s been called a ‘thirst trap’.

The snap, which was posted on Tuesday, March 31, features the actress in a one-piece with a plunging neckline and silver buckles as she poses in a pair of sunglasses in the mirror.
Seemingly teasing her fans, she wrote: “Thirsty enough for you?”
However, her weight loss wasn’t something she took lightly, as just last December, she revealed she needed to do it to ‘survive’.
She said in an interview with US Weekly that it was ‘not to look hot, which does feel fun and temporary’, as she told the outlet: “I did it to survive.”
Speaking on her Cushing syndrome, she explained that it can be a fatal condition, noting: “I had a disease that makes your face extremely puffy that can kill you but the internet caught it, and the disease has cleared.”
Cushing disease is a rare endocrine disorder that is thought to happen due to excessive amounts of the hormone cortisol in the system.
Some symptoms include weight gain in the face, bone pain, frail skin that bruises easily, and acne.
As for Schumer, it’s believed she got her Cushings after getting steroid injections in high doses.
Schumer continued, revealing that she’s now able to do things she couldn’t: “I’ve had plastic surgery over the years and I use monjuro. Sorry to anyone that lets down. I’m pain free. I can [play] tag with my son.”
Schumer’s son, Gene, 6, is her only child, which she shares with estranged husband Chris Fischer.
