Despite giving it her best shot, Adele's attempt at Beyoncé’s 'everybody on mute challenge' really did not work.

While performing, the London-born singer admitted that she 'failed miserably'.

So for those unaware, concert-goers and fellow artists have been viewing Beyoncé's on-stage performance of 'Energy', as a TikTok challenge.

During the Renaissance Tour when Queen B sings, “Big wave in the room, the crowd gon’ move / Look around, everybody on mute,” the singer and the backup dancers freeze for a few moments after that line.

The crowd is then challenged to put their finger on their lips and quite literally go on 'mute'.

Now that the challenge has gone viral on TikTok, Adele thought it was time to give it a go.

During her Las Vegas show titled 'Weekends with Adele', she told the audience: "I'm gonna try something. Put your phones away. Everybody on mute. Just enjoy the show."

"F***ing failed miserably," she then says, after discovering the audience was clearly on a different wavelength.

"I get sent them (videos) daily, when she (Beyoncé) sings 'everybody on mute' you have to be f***ing quiet."

Commenting on the clip, one user said: "Adele is just us but famous lol I luv her."

Another added: "Love that she keeps up with trends like these."

"Her shows are always half amazing vocals, half hilarious stand-up," a third thought.

While a fourth also agreed: "She could do standup. Her timing is impeccable."

Well, Adele had fans in hysterics at a previous Las Vegas show when she dared someone to throw something at her on stage.

She made it pretty clear she wouldn’t be happy if anyone tried any funny business with her, joking that she would ‘f**king kill’ them if they did.

The singer yelled: "Have you noticed how people are, like, forgetting f**king show etiquette at the moment?

"Throwing s**t on stage, have you seen them? I f**king dare you, I dare you throw something at me, I'll f**king kill you."

She then lifted up the t-shirt cannon and fired it into the crowd, shouting: “Stop throwing things at the artist.”

Adele laughed that it was a ‘total reverse’ as she 'can shoot things at the audience', creasing up on stage.

Recently, singer Bebe Rexha was rushed off stage after one audience member threw a phone at her face, and Kelsea Ballerini was forced to stop her concert after being hit by an object.
