Matt Damon is a critically acclaimed American actor, filmmaker, screenwriter and activist.
He was born on 8 October 1970 in Cambridge, Massachusetts where he and his brother were raised by their mother, following their parents’ divorce.
In 1997, Damon rose to fame when he starred in Good Will Hunting, a film he and Ben Affleck wrote together. It won them an Oscar and Golden Globe for Best Screenplay.
This year Damon made a cameo appearance in Thor: Love and Thunder reprising his role as Loki.

He also is set to appear in Christoper Nolan’s biographical film Oppenheimer, taking on the role of Leslie Groves, director of the Manhattan Project.

Damon first began his career aged 18, when he started at Harvard, in the romantic comedy Mystic Pizza.

Damon also began writing Good Will Hunting as part of an assignment in English class.
In 1992, he dropped out a term before his graduation to star in Geronimo: An American Legend, and proceeded to move to Los Angeles.
Following the success of Good Will Hunting, Damon starred in many notable movies including Saving Private Ryan, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Contagion, The Martian and the Bourne franchise where he is of course known for his role as infamous hero Jason Bourne.
Besides acting, Damon devotes his time to charitable work with the charities One Campaign, H2O Africa Foundation, Feeding America and Water.org.
The American is also known as being the face of Crypto.com, however the star recently came under fire on social media for his campaign “Fortune Favours the Brave” which came a few months before the cryptocurrency crash.
Damon is very outspoken in politics having endorsed the Democratic Party in past elections.
The legendary actor and his family mainly reside in a luxurious $17.9 million mansion in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles.
However, this doesn't complete his real estate collection as Damon also bought a $16.5 million luxury penthouse in Brooklyn Heights in 2018 and more recently, an $8.5 million property in Westchester, New York.
