Kim Kardashian admitted she would do 'anything' to get back the 'person she married' as she was going through her divorce proceedings with Kanye West.

Kim and Kanye officially split in November 2022 after nearly eight years of marriage, throughout which they welcomed four children together.

Their position in the spotlight meant a lot of the issues they went through at the time were made public, with even more insight coming to light in the latest series of Hulu's The Kardashians.

Though it's just airing now, the series was being filmed last year as Kim and Kanye's divorce proceedings were in full swing.

In an upcoming episode of the show, Kim opens up about her relationship struggles in a conversation with her sister, Khloé.

Kim bursts into tears and admits she's 'not okay', before alluding to Kanye's change in behaviour as their marriage came to an end.

“It’s so different than the person that I married,” she says, adding: “That’s who I loved, and that’s who I remember. I’ll do anything to get that person back.”

Kanye engaged in controversial behaviour amid his split with Kim, including publicly criticizing her parenting and targeting her then-boyfriend, Pete Davidson.

The rapper also engaged in anti-Semitic hate speech, resulting in the loss of brand deals he'd previously secured with the likes of Adidas and Balenciaga.

One preview for an upcoming episode of The Kardashians sees Kim admit that 'life is really different' after her divorce, and that her friends wanted her to 'meet someone' - which she has, apparently.

She doesn't name her new boyfriend in the show, but she assures he 'so meets the standards'.

Kim and Davidson split after nine months of dating, after which she admitted she was still looking for the right person.

“I go back and forth in my feelings sometimes, like who’s ever going to want to date me?," she said on the show afterwards.

"I have four kids. I’m in my 40s. Oh, my God, who’s going to want to deal with the dramz [sic]. But my person will be like, ‘F**k all of that. It’s going to be hard, but we’re together.’ ... So I’m just waiting for that person.”

Kim's mom, Kris Jenner, praises her daughter in the upcoming episode for the way she lives her life, saying: "I don't know anyone who could have handled what you... I'm so proud of you every single day... I wish everybody knew how beautiful and delicious your heart was."

The Kardashians is released on Thursdays on Hulu in the US, and Disney+ internationally.
