Kim Kardashian has said she’s more ‘mindful’ when it comes to relationships as she’s keen to avoid making ‘the same mistakes’ as she has in the past.

Kim, 42, has been married three times, including a high-profile marriage with rapper Kanye West. The pair got hitched back in 2014 and share four children - North, Chicago, Psalm and Saint - together.

However, they went their separate ways in 2021, with their divorce finalised the following year.

The Kardashians star later entered into a relationship with comedian Pete Davidson but they decided to call it quits after nine months of dating.

During a recent appearance on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast, Kim admitted to being a ‘hopeless romantic’ and said she ‘always want[s] to be in love’.

Asked if she was ready to love again, Kim replied: “I think I’ll always be a hopeless romantic and always want to be in love, and [I] definitely love sharing my life with someone, and love creating a life with someone.

“It's obviously such a hard place to be in because how do you go about it?

"There's so many factors, but I'll always believe in love and I’ll always want that and I think that’s such a magical part of life. But I think I’m so comfortable taking my time to not rush it.

“There's so much going on that I'm not lonely, and I think that that is really important. I believe, like, I always believe. And I think that whatever's meant to be will be.”

But Kim went on to stress that she won’t be rushing into anything as she doesn’t want to ‘make the same mistakes’ as she has done in the past.

She added: “I definitely will take my time, and I think there's so many factors especially when you have kids and being mindful of people that enter in your life.

“If I can look at everything that I did wrong and try to not make the same mistakes and really take my time, I think it just has to be different for me.”

Kim didn’t share what ‘mistakes’ she believes she’d made in the past, but she went on to reveal the most important thing to her when it comes to a relationship - respect.

“I think just having that mutual respect, treating people with respect is just a given,” she told the podcaster.

“Every relationship can be different. If you have just a mutual respect around the, across the board, that's I think the number one thing.”
