Kanye West and his wife are good friends with controversy, and a Grammy producer has now spoken out after their wild red carpet stunt over the weekend.

In case you (somehow) missed drama, Kanye West and his wife Bianca Censori made quite an appearance at the Grammys on Sunday (February 2).

While West was in an all-black outfit, his wife... well, she wasn’t in anything.

She arrived in a floor-length black fur coat, but took it off to reveal not a whole lot as she was just in a totally sheer mesh dress, with no underwear.

This obviously caused a stir, with some questioning whether she could get into issues with the police for indecent exposure.

Grammy bosses have also been caught up in the red-carpet stunt, as people have demanded answers on how this was allowed.

Grammy executive producer Raj Kapoor has reiterated the dress code for the event and insisted that they ‘adhere to standards’ when it comes to the night.

Speaking to PEOPLE, he said that guests are expected to dress in ‘artistic black tie’ but did state this didn’t always look as expected.

He added: “In the music industry, I guess that's up for interpretation. Obviously there is a dress code for anybody actually performing on the show that we have to adhere to standards and practices.

"But as far as people attending and nominees attending, that would be something the [Recording] Academy [presents the Grammys] would have to answer."

West has been pretty chatty on social media since the incident and taken a fair few shots online.

A source close to West spoke to The Sun and explained what the rappers motives were for the stunt, saying the star used the Grammy’s to celebrate ‘art’ through Censori.

They said: "People have called this a stunt but to Ye this is his art. He turned up, made headlines around the world and left. No one told him what to do and even if they had, he wouldn't have listened.

"Ye always planned to do the red carpet and leave - he'd never sit through the Grammys because it's so dull and boring."

Not long after the stunt, rumors began circulating that the pair were forced to leave the award show.

Although it was later confirmed that the pair left on their own accord.

And regardless of how people feel about the pair’s antics, West seemed pretty pleased it resulted in a massive story as he proclaimed that he ‘beat the grammies’ due to the massive uptick in Google searches for Censori.
