Jamie Foxx's daughter has taken to social media to give an update on the actor's health following 'a medical complication'.
The Collateral actor, who is currently starring in Fox series Alert: Missing Persons Unit, has taken ill according to his daughter.
Foxx's eldest daughter, 29-year-old Corinne, revealed that her father has been suffering from ill-health in a post to Instagram, speaking on behalf of the entire Foxx family.
Corinne took to the platform on Wednesday, (12 April) to share the news with her Instagram followers.

"We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday.
"Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.
"We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.

Fans of the Django Unchained star have flocked to social media in concern for the actor and to offer their well wishes.
One Twitter user wrote: "Prayers for Jamie Foxx. He came to a Mavs game last year. I’m trying to interview him- he grabs my phone, hands it to the person with him and says 'let’s pose.'
"Will never forget this moment. Hope he gets well soon and is back entertaining us again. God bless."

In 2022, Foxx starred in Netflix comedy horror Day Shift, but one of his other projects was officially shelved the very same year.
Foxx co-wrote All Star Weekend with Donald 'Speedy' Caldwell Jr, as well as directing the movie and producing it alongside Avram 'Butch' Kaplan, Chuck Pacheco and Deon Taylor.

Foxx took on a lead role as basketball fanatic truck driver Malik and in a move considered controversial by some, cast Robert Downey Jr as 'a Mexican'.
The film got to post-production, however, its release was delayed and was officially shelved in 2022.
When asked why he believed the film had been shelved, Foxx told Cinemablend: "It’s been tough with the lay of the land when it comes to comedy."
