She's the eldest daughter of one of the richest tech moguls in the world, but do you know much about the life of Jennifer Gates?

Bill Gates only intends of handing his kids a 'miniscule portion' of his fortune - but don't go getting your tiny violins out just yet.

Jennifer, 26, has lived a very privileged life.

First up, she's a horse girl, having been riding since she was just six years old. As explained by Insider, her Microsoft co-founder dad is supportive of her passion.

He previously invested millions of dollars in horse farm estates in Wellington, Florida, for Jennifer to use for training.

As a result of these investments, she now competes for Evergate Stables, an equestrian team created for and owned by her.

Alongside her animal activities, Jennifer has followed in her father's footsteps in an educational sense, having attended Seattle's top private academy, Lakeside High School.

In 2018, she graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Human Biology, a path she said was inspired by her parents.

Speaking to Horse Network back in 2016, she explained: "I’m at Stanford during the week, then horse shows on the weekend. It’s a little busy but I love doing both.

"I’m studying Human Biology. I just took a class about children, youth, and the law, so we learned about the juvenile justice system, the foster care system, and all the issues surrounding that.

"I’m really interested in children’s wellbeing, especially here in the United States. I find that fascinating."

After college, she took a gap year to focus on her competitive horse riding before enrolling at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City.

As you might expect, she's not exactly slumming it in student digs - following her Stanford graduation, Bill and Melinda Gates were reported to have bought her a $5 million condo at 1212 Fifth Avenue, just a short distance from the med school.

According to Insider, she's expected to graduate this year.

The med student and her husband Nayel Nassar announced their pregnancy in November last year.

As for her private life, Jennifer got engaged to fellow equestrian Nayel Nassar in 2020, writing on Instagram at the time: "I can't wait to spend the rest of our lives learning, growing, laughing, and loving together."

The pair got married in October 2021 and, just over a year later, announced they are expecting their first child together.

Despite growing up in unimaginable wealth, Bill and Melinda, who got divorced in 2021, were sure to restrict the amount of screen time their kids - Jennifer, Phoebe and Rory - had when they were growing up.

In a conversation with the Mirror back in 2017, the 67-year-old business magnate said: "We didn't give our kids cell phones until they were 14 and they complained other kids got them earlier.

"We often set a time after which there is no screen time and, in their case, that helps them get to sleep at a reasonable hour."

Bill Gates had some strict rules for his kids when it came to technology.

Though Jennifer's dad's net worth is estimated to be around $107 billion, he's set to give much of his fortune away to charities in the future.

In previous interviews he's expressed that while his offspring 'are never going to be poorly off', they'd have to find careers of their own rather than rely on his inheritance.
