The entire main Friends cast has reunited to commemorate the life of their co-star Matthew Perry, two years after his tragic death at 54.

The beloved actor who played Chandler Bing in the popular sitcom died on October 28, 2023, after being found unresponsive in his hot tub at his home in California.

The cause of death was ruled as having been 'acute effects of ketamine', with subsequent drowning, coronary artery disease, and effects of buprenorphine, which is used to treat opioid use disorder, were listed amongst other contributing factors.

Perry's sudden passing rocked the entertainment industry, with fans and celebrities alike expressing their deepest sorrow at the loss of such a cherished star, including his former Friends co-stars.

Recently, his co-stars reunited to support his legacy through a charity initiative by the Matthew Perry Foundation to raise funds to combat addiction.

The cast, which included Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, and Courteney Cox, teamed up with Soundwaves Art and the British artist Tim Wakefield to produce a very special collection of artwork for the holiday season.

For those not in the know, Wakefield is famous for creating art that features sound waves from well-known songs and other sounds, signed by the artist who originally performed the song.

In keeping with his usual tradition, Wakefield transformed the actual sound waves of the Friends theme song into beautiful designs, each inspired by a different character, and asked each cast member to autograph a small run of limited prints.

A series of behind-the-scenes photos showed the cast reunited to sign the artwork and remember their deceased co-star.

In addition, with the blessing of Perry’s estate, a small number of art pieces featuring the late actor’s signature have been produced as a lasting memento of the impact he had on so many lives.

Unsigned, the prints retail for $100, with the signed variants rising to $600+, depending on framing options.

All profits will be supporting charities chosen by the cast, including the Matthew Perry Foundation, which supports individuals struggling with addiction.

For much of his life, Perry battled with addiction and openly shared his struggles, as well as his life in the spotlight.

Before his passing, the 17 Again star revealed how he wanted to help others who'd also struggled with addiction, telling the Q With Tom Power podcast: “When I die, I don’t want Friends to be the first thing that’s mentioned. I want that [helping people with addiction] to be the first thing that’s mentioned.

"And I’m gonna live the rest of my life proving that.”
