Beyoncé’s fans have been left shocked after the singer changed the lyrics to one of her greatest hits.

During her Renaissance World Tour, Queen Bey has been gifting fans incredible performances from her catalogue of pop anthems.

However, one part of the show has left members of the BeyHive a little confused.

In a compilation of TikToks posted to Twitter by @putasinghonit, you can see a bunch of fans ready to sing their hearts out and get their boogie on as the beginning notes of 'Sweet Dreams' starts playing, with many confidently screaming the famous lyrics we all anticipated to hear - “Every night I rush to my bed.”

But where were they?

As it turns out, Beyoncé actually treated fans to an unexpected mashup as the beginning of the song featured an alternative line: “I’m too classy for this world, forever I’m that girl," which is from her hit 'Alien Superstar'.

The compilation video, which has been viewed over 10 million times, shows excited fans shouting out the wrong words and being left rightly embarrassed and confused by the switch up.

"BEYONCÉ YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS," one fan said in response to the video.

Another added: “I can’t believe we’re letting Beyoncé get away with this, LMFAO."

While one said that they were glad to be notified of the lyric change so they could avoid the embarrassment when attending the show, writing: "Okay so happy these dropped so I can be prepared for July as I laugh at the people around me like a petty bih."

Another applauded the singer for her mashup, saying: “Their reactions to her mashup priceless!!! Beyoncé is such an evil queen.”

The Renaissance World Tour is currently in full swing, with the next dates set to take place in France before Queen Bey jets off for shows in Germany and Amsterdam this month. The pop star will continue to perform across the rest of the world, before finally traveling to New Orleans for her final show on 27 September.

As we only have three months left of this tour, what are the chances that we’ll see more videos of stunned fans that didn’t get the memo?
