Casey King has revealed his incredible transformation after admitting that he didn’t think he would ‘still be alive at 40’
King previously appeared on the TLC reality series Family By The Ton in 2018 when he weighed 845 pounds.
He opened up about the challenging aspects of his life at the time, including having to clean himself in a trough outdoors because he was too large to bathe inside a standard sized bath or shower.
In the series, King said he had struggled with his weight from a young age, reaching 300 pounds by the time he finished high school. After graduating, he worked in restaurants, where his weight continued to increase. Several years later, he left work and moved in with his father. During this period, his weight reached 845 pounds.

King decided to have bariatric surgery in 2019 which helped him lose 70 pounds and now he’s lost over 600 pounds.
In 2023 he shared an update in the series Brand New Me after losing 245 pounds, explaining: “My lifestyle at my heaviest was kind of non-existent. I didn’t really like people. I didn’t like being seen. I didn’t like socialising.
“I felt like a freak show. I didn’t shower inside. I showered in a trough tub outside for a while.”
Casey’s dad added: “I never in my wildest dreams would have thought he would have got down to what he is now. It’s been one hell of a journey and I tell you what, I’m so proud of him.”
King, who celebrated his 40th birthday in 2024, has now lost over 600 pounds and he has shared his latest update with followers on Instagram.
In the post’s caption he shared that he thought he’d never be able to make it to 40, adding that he ‘really doesn’t know how I made it this far.’
He shared in November 2024: “As I enter my 40th year of life I have to think back and reflect on the year before. I feel like most people that knew me 6 to 10 years ago wouldn’t have thought I’d make it to 40 and to those people I say ‘GOTCHO ASSSSSSSS.'”
He continued: “I really don’t know how I made it this far, I really thought at one time I’d be dead before 40 and now at 40 I’m in close to the best health of my life….. kinda #weird tbh.
“I just wanna thank everyone that’s followed me along the way, I wanna say #thankyou to everyone for the constant #love and #support and just embracing my weirdness and allowing me to be #me.
He finished the post by sending a message to his followers: "Basically thank you, I love you, 40 is gonna be good to me, I look forward to things to come. Take care of yourselves and each other, tell someone you love them, and I’ll see you when I see you."
Fans shared supportive messages in response: “Congratulations, I can't imagine how difficult this must've been! I hope you know how amazing you've done and I’m sure you feel a lot more comfortable!”
Another follower wrote: “Great job staying the course.”
A third person congratulated Casey and shared: “Great Job Casey welcome to the 40 & Fine! Continued blessings on your journey.”
"This is impressive," said a fourth fan in the comments.
