Britney Spears fires back at Jamie Lynn for complaining about being her sister

Jamie Lynn blames her self-esteem issues on being Britney's younger sister.

Britney Spears has lashed out at her sister Jamie Lynn Spears after she complained that it was difficult being related to the pop legend.

Jamie Lynn broke down in tears on new series Special Forces: World's Toughest Test, as she spoke about living in her superstar sister's shadow - but Britney doesn't want to hear it.

Over the last year, Britney Spears has made it abundantly clear that she has a rocky relationship with her little sister.

Since being liberated from her 13-year conservatorship in 2021, Britney has been speaking her mind on social media, and ripping into those she felt had wronged her over the years - and one of those people is the Zoey 101 star.

Whether it was her younger sister performing her songs at public events, or discussing her in her tell-all memoir Things I Should Have Said, Britney has found plenty of reasons to call out Jamie Lynn.

The latest is a tearful interview that Jamie Lynn gave in the premiere episode of the Fox reality series.

After the episode aired this week, Britney came for her sister with a scathing Instagram post, which has since been deleted.

"Are we gonna say it was hard being my sister???? Hmmmmm... really???" she began.

The 'Hold Me Closer' singer went on to tell her followers about a time that her childhood friends and loved ones were treated to a day of pedicures and champagne before coming to see her at her Las Vegas residency, while she was barred from joining in on the fun.

"Do we dare set aside our self care and acknowledge a childhood friend? Why no! We teach her the meaning of mean and then throw her away in the end with no self rights!" she wrote.

"You want me to share it on telly?? I'd rather spit in their faces and trash them on Instagram cause that's all my family has ever been to me!!!!"

The singer went on to claim that she had suffered nerve damage on the right side of her body during her conservatorship.

"Not a victim story or crying about it because I was never a big deal … I sat in a chair for 10 hours a day and no rights for 4 months !!!

"They hurt me and northing was done except that I lost 15 years of my life with my family owning my name... subjected to being an angel while my dad has five women on his tour bus drinking that cup of coffee... so cool and smooth it must have been nice owning my name for 15 years."

She concluded with a direct message to her little sister, telling her that it 'honestly blows [her] mind' to hear Jamie Lynn say is was hard to have her as a sister.

"I’m sorry you feel that way but don’t ever poke at my broken foot in a kitchen telling me to go to the doctor because my foot infection might infect your royal children !!!"

We're definitely missing some context on that final jab, but you get the idea.

Jamie Lynn confided in the show's instructors about growing up with Britney.

In the first episode of Special Forces, which aired on Wednesday, 4 January, Jamie Lynn confided in the instructors about what it was like to grow up with Britney as an older sister.

"Growing up, my sister became famous, worldwide famous, when I was very young," she began.

"I guess I just wanna like [prove that] I'm just like worth something. I'm so proud of her, love her to death, but I don't know. Sometimes I feel like I don't really have anything for myself."

She added: "I struggle with self-esteem all the time."
