Britney Spears Leaves Fans Confused After Mysteriously Deleting Her Instagram Account

Stop the presses – Britney Spears has deleted her Instagram account.

Fans have been left bewildered and confused after the pop princess – who is normally extremely active on the social media platform – appears to have vanished without a trace.

In recent months, Britney has frequently used her Instagram page to share harrowing stories of her conservatorship, post a number of candid snaps, and tease some snippets of upcoming projects. 

At the time of writing, however, her Instagram account is currently not active, and after Instagram confirmed that it was not responsible for the page’s removal, that can only mean one thing – Britney has gone offline.

In one of the last posts Spears shared before the account was deactivated, she wrote about visiting Las Vegas and an unusual experience she had with a masseuse, saying that: “The only thing I’ve known when I used to go to Vegas was hour long meet and greets with 40 people every night getting the worst pics of me and then a two hour show !!!! Let’s just say THIS TIME visiting it gave me a whole new perspective on what it means to live !!!! Being able to go to the spa was a highlight as well and you know what ??? Don’t ever pity me like my masseuse does …. ‘People do love you!’ …. Huh ???? Huh ???? I don’t want to be loved … I want to be feared !!! Being loved and being nice got me taken advantage of so take your pity and go f*ck yourselves !!!!”

However, this isn’t the first time that Britney has deleted her Insta account. Back in September, she temporarily deactivated her account in order to privately celebrate her engagement to fiancé Sam Asghari, taking to Twitter to post: “Don’t worry folks … just taking a little break from social media to celebrate my engagement !!!! I’ll be back soon.”

The singer has been dating the Iranian model and personal trainer since 2016. They announced their engagement in 2021.

But even though it’s only been a few hours, Britney superfans are not taking their idol's absence well.

A follower asked: "Why did @britneyspears deleted her instagram account [sic]!?"

"Oh, my God Britney Spears’ Instagram disappeared," another said.

One user questioned: "What happened with #britneyspears instagram? Insta removed the acc?"

Another added: "Britney Spears deactivated her instagram account. I am deactivating my whole ass social media. I can't live without her videos."

But while we’re sure that Britney will be back sooner rather than later, maybe let the woman have a bit of privacy in the meantime?
