Alec Baldwin's wife Hilaria speaks out after 'shocking' video of her scolding her husband on red carpet goes viral
The Baldwin couple have made it clear they are not bothered
Hilaria Baldwin faced a backlash on social media after a viral moment with her husband, and she's now responded to the controversy.
The viral clip showed Hilaria and Alec Baldwin speaking on the red carpet for an event they were hosting, the re-opening party for Planet Hollywood Times Square in New York.
In the clip, Hilaria appeared to snap at Alec for interrupting her, twice saying to him ‘When I’m talking, you’re not talking’.
She also ordered him to stop distracting her despite him paying her a compliment. This brief interaction didn’t go over well on social media, with many calling out Hilaria for her attitude and response to Alec.
One Twitter user commented: “I’m no Alec Baldwin fan, but this clip is shocking. On the red carpet, he’s building Hilaria up, saying 'It’s gonna be great, you’re a winner', and she snaps back aggressively: 'No talking while I’m talking!' TWICE.

Another said: “Who humiliates their husband, let alone in public? Almost feel sorry for him.”
A third commented: “This might be why he is so miserable everyday. He should leave her.
“I am not fan of his either but what she did was very narcissistic and controlling.”
In a new Instagram video, the couple addressed the backlash and didn’t seem to take it that seriously.
Hilaria took a dig at Alec by saying he was ‘manterrupting’, and Alec admitted he suffers from ‘correctile dysfunction’.
Hilaria added: “The whole point is, we interrupt each other all the time.
In the video, one of their children attempts to come into their room and they close the video by sharing a kiss.
Hilaria closed by saying: “OK, so now that we’ve cleared all of that up, give me a kiss just so they know.”
The couple’s tongue in cheek response to the video seemed to win over some of Hilaria’s followers with some praising their relationship dynamic.
One person commented on the video: “You two are Great!!The love for one another and your children is a beautiful thing. I like Authenticity."
Another added: “MANTERRUPTING” Making a teeshirt for my husband Today!It should help him in public.”
With a third writing: “Totally love this! Yes ladies , we need to step up and voice ourselves to our husbands.”
However, others were not as convinced, and argued this wasn’t good ‘damage control’ for the backlash she received.
