OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has made a 'wild' confession about how he uses artificial intelligence to help raise his baby, admitting he feels 'kind of bad' about it.
Altman became a dad in February after welcoming his first child with husband Oliver Mulherin. Taking to Twitter to announce their happy news, Altman wrote: "Welcome to the world, little guy! He came early and is going to be in the NICU for a while. He is doing well and it’s really nice to be in a little bubble taking care of him."
"I have never felt such love," he added alongside the photo of the top of his son's head and his tiny hand.
In light of having become a dad, Altman was asked by Jimmy Fallon how he's navigating parenthood and if he uses ChatGPT, which OpenAI develops, when raising his baby during an appearance on The Tonight Show.

"I do," Altman admitted. "I feel kind of bad about it because we have this genius level at everything intelligence sitting there and waiting to unravel the mysteries of humanity, and I'm like,'Why does my kid keep dropping his pizza on the floor and laughing?'"
He added that he feels like he's not asking the AI 'a good enough question'.
Altman went on: "I cannot imagine figuring out how to raise a newborn without ChatGPT. Clearly, people did it for a long time with no problem, so clearly it's possible, but I have relied on it so much."
People online have since reacted to Altman's remarks, and it's safe to say that he's left people divided.
Somebody said: "That’s wild! Start-up parenting tips from AI sound like the future!"
Others echoed similar sentiments and found what Altman said was very relatable. "That's hilarious. i'd be lost without it for baby tips too," said another parent.
A different person wrote: "As a new dad myself, Sam spilling this on Fallon? RELATABLE AF. Prompted ChatGPT at 3am: 'Why is my kid screaming like a banshee?' Saved my sanity. Tech bros finally admitting AI's the real MVP of parenthood."
"That’s a valid take," insisted another. "I think it’s just an easier way to scour the internet."
Not everyone was in favour of the idea of modern-day parents relying heavily on ChatGPT, however.
A Twitter user said: "AI isn't only going to take our jobs, they're taking our kids."
"Jesus, if this is real... our generation is doomed," someone else suggested.
"Humanity is so cooked," said another.
