All you need to do is adjust a small setting.

PlayStation 5 owners are being urged to make a tiny change to their settings in order to optimize their gaming experience.

While the console offers a brilliant experience regardless, altering your settings ever so slightly can make a big difference, and have your games looking their best.

And it's really easy to do.

To make the change, you'll first need to understand whether your telly supports HGiG or not.

Tom's Guide explains that if your TV does support it, it's better to enable HGiG - which stands for HDR Gaming Interest Group - in order to 'get the most accurate tone mapping in games that support the feature'.

One game that supports this is Spider-Man: Miles Morales - and what a game it is. Not that the game needed any improvement, but if you can swing from building to building with the best quality possible, why wouldn't you?

Tom's Guide explains that you can leave the setting on and it shouldn't affect other games - ie ones that don't support HGiG.

Once HGiG is enabled, you can then go to 'Adjust HDR'. You'll then need to follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate the HDR.

Another setting to change is VRR - aka Variable Refresh Rate - which is a new feature that lets the TV adjust its refresh rate in relation to the PlayStation's frame rate output.

There are two options to toggle from - off and automatic. If your telly supports it, you can leave it on automatic, but if not, it's best to turn it off.

VRR ultimately allows smoother playback, which will result in fewer lags.

According to Tom's Guide, simply making these two adjustments should have your games looking their absolute best.

Just imagine playing Hogwarts Legacy with even better graphics?

Speaking of the popular game - which sold a whopping 22 million copies by the end of last year - gamers have started hearing whispers of a sequel.

Warner Bros. had hinted at more Harry Potter games, but had yet to officially commit to it.

The next Harry Potter game is set to be Quidditch Champions - a title that has been in beta, but still has no official release date.

But in a new interview, Warner Bros. gaming boss, David Haddad, has shared some news.

"We don’t have any particular announcements on exactly how and when [the Quidditch game] is going to come to the market, but we are working to get it designed in a way just to delight fans,” Haddad told Variety.

He continued: "A very consistent message coming from the executive layer of Warner Bros. Discovery is the importance of franchise.

"There’s a unique and important role games have in keeping our franchises relevant, resonant and exciting because there’s plenty of fans and plenty of people consuming content where games are their starting point, it’s their preferred form of content."

This sounds promising!
