Only six people are said to have completed a certain level of Super Mario Makers 2.

The popular game hit shelves back in 2019, and is reported to have sold over eight million copies to date.

As of December 2022, Super Mario Makers 2 ranked as Nintendo's 22nd best-selling game, coming in behind the likes of Mario Party Superstars, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Animal Crossing: New Horizons and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

It was reported in June 2023 that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe ranked as the video game company's most popular game, having sold a staggering 55.46 million copies.

While Super Mario Makers 2 has been out for over four years, it's believed that only six gamers have beaten a level of the game known as '1 -1 with a twist'.

People can create their own maps on Super Mario Makers 2 and, upon its time of release, someone created the infamous '1 - 1 with a twist'.

It appears as if the original map has since been deleted, but another gamer has created an almost-identical one called '1-1 with a twist x5'.

The 'x5' part is thought to mean that you to need beat it five times to meet the goal - making it extremely difficult.

The original map was called '1 - 1 with a twist'.

Someone posted on Reddit back in 2019: "I got Mario Maker 2 for my kids for Christmas, and I'm trying to find 1-1 with a twist but it's not available anymore. Anyone know what happened or if there's a copy?"

Someone replied to the thread at the time: "BLG-6N8-8NF is the same level except you have to beat it five times to reach the goal.

"BG8-6RT-XYG is the same level expect much much harder.

"Not seeing an exact remake of the level anywhere unfortunately."

The similar remake of the map been labelled as 'impossible' by gamers; making it understandable that such a small number of people have reportedly completed it.

People have been left mind-blown by the extremely difficult level.

In a snippet of the level shared to TikTok, people spoke of how much anxiety it gave them.

"OK I couldn't have been the only one who's anxiety was going through the roof while watching this video lol," wrote one person.

"That gave me so much anxiety watching it lol," echoed another.

A third went on: "That GAVE me anxiety."

"That's a whole lot of nope in one level," added someone else.

If you fancy giving the level a try, it looks like you may need to dedicate a few hours (or days) of your time; but you never know... you could become the seventh gamer to complete it.
