A dishwasher expert has revealed the one thing he’d never put inside of his dishwasher after a man set the internet on fire by revealing what goes on inside of his.
It’s not often something as innocent as an electrical appliance causes so much chaos online, but here we are.
It all began when one man took to YouTube to give the internet something they’d never asked for: the inside of his dishwasher.
The YouTube page Povs Adventures posted what happens when you put a camera inside and turn it on, and obviously, it was a bit of a shock.

Nobody on Earth has managed to see the inside of a dishwasher (I think), but now it’s happened and it feels illegal.
Not only that, but it’s sparked a massive debate in the comment section due to the contents of the clip.

It began when he said: “I put a camera in a dishwasher because I, like many others, wonder what really went on in there.
“I added a light, so it would be super clear and then I also filled it up more, I added a tide pod, I strapped the camera in, closed the dishwasher and then it was time to see what happened."
It all started out as you’d expect, with water jetting out to begin the wash cycle.
But the color threw people off, as while you might expect it to be clear and clean, this dishwasher was cleaning dishes with brown water.
Anyway, since the video went viral, a dishwasher expert (yes, they do exist) has come out to share what he’d never do to his.
Andrew Laughlin, a principal researcher & writer at Which, explained that the company put 60 dishwashers through the lab per year to test them, but he has his own thoughts on how to use the machines.
Namely, he thinks you need to stop wasting water and pre-rinsing your dishes.
He shared in an article: “For some, the thought of not rinsing plates before loading them into the dishwasher will fill them with horror.
"But I never bother rinsing crockery – just scrape off any leftovers into the food bin and stick them straight in.”
He shared that most ‘dishwasher programs pre-rinse your dishes, so you won’t need to waste water’ by using the tap.
He added: “Modern, all-in-one dishwasher tablets are more than capable of taking on any mess thanks to a combination of powder and gel-based detergents.”
To be honest, not rinsing wouldn’t help the YouTuber, as the same thing happened when he revisited his dishwasher not too long ago.

After the comments about his dirty water got too much, he decided to try things a second time, but this time he used a singular plate with a smiley face of ketchup drawn on it.
Was the water still brown?
Yes, until it ran clear in the last five minutes.
It’s still pretty grim.
In the comments of his videos, a user joked: “Bro got the dishwasher hooked up to his septic tank.”
Another said: “Thank you for helping me see reasons why hand washing is best.”
A third wrote: “I am glad I was not the only one who was shocked by the brown water thank you for sharing anyway.”
