Apple has unveiled a new iPhone feature with its latest model that allows people to make their own emojis, but there's one concern.

The company's CEO Tim Cook took to the stage today (9 September) to unveil the highly-anticipated new iPhone at Apple's 'It's Glowtime' event at Apple's campus in Cupertino, California.

The iPhone 16 - which will be available in four different models - has been teased for months and now, it's finally here - and it's got some pretty different features to the phones which have come before it.

While Apple has spent much of the presentation speaking about AI integration with iPhone 16, there is another new feature that has many on social media talking.

Using 'Apple Intelligence', iPhone 16 users will be able to create their own emojis - which sounds pretty exciting, right?

One person wrote on Twitter: "Creating new emoji just by typing them out?! I am SOLD!"

While another added: "Definitely, as an emoji enthusiast, I'm excited about this new feature on the iPhone! I hope it will be available for iOS 18, not just for the iPhone 16."

However, not all Apple fans are buzzing about the news, with many being quick to point out one standout concern that could make for some interesting results.

In fact, those online were worried that things could get too 'offensive' if people decided to take certain liberties with this new feature.

"Can’t wait to make totally not offensive emojis," one person joked on Twitter.

A second added: "People are about to get real creative," while another remarked: "You already know people gonna be creating crazy s**t."

And a fourth quipped: "This OBVIOUSLY won’t end well."

The upcoming iPhone 16 aims to 'celebrates color' with five different shades available at launch, while a 'new glass ceramic formulation' means it's 'built to last'.

Meanwhile, iPhone 16 comes in two sizes; 6.1 inches for the iPhone 16 and 6.7 inches for the Plus model.

And while it may sound like a small thing, the latest iPhone model also comes with a dedicated camera button.

When you click on this button, the iPhone 16 then immediately launches the camera and you can just click again to take a picture or click and hold for video options - pretty neat.

The iPhone 16 is expected to go on sale later this month, you’ll be able to shop it at the likes of Sky Mobile, Amazon and Carphone Warehouse.
