Raygun is now ranked as the world's number one in surprise twist after scoring zero at Olympic Games

Despite scoring a total of zero at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Raygun is apparently the world's number one breaker

Despite scoring zero in the Olympics, Raygun has been ranked number one breaker in the world.

You may be wondering how we got here. Well, Dr Rachel Gunn - aka Raygun - took to the floor at the 2024 Paris Olympics and her performance went viral, although, unfortunately for all the wrong reasons.

Breakdancing's debut at the Olympics became overshadowed by Raygun's routine, which was slammed online as 'hilariously ridiculous'.

The routine featured moves which saw the 36-year-old Australian slither around the stage like a snake and hop about like a kangaroo.

The dancer received a grand total of zero points from the judges, despite her efforts to bring an extra flare of 'creativity' to the floor, and so bad was the reaction online, Raygun had to be offered mental health support by the World DanceSport Federation.

Despite her Olympics performance and the controversy on social media, Raygun has maintained she believes she's Australia's best breaker, saying in an interview with The Project that her 'record speaks to that'.

And it would seem she's not only the best breaker in Australia but apparently all across the globe too.

Despite scoring a grand total of zero at the Olympics, Raygun has somehow come out on top with the World DanceSport Federation's World Ranking listing Raygun as it's number one B-Girl.

How? Well, because Raygun obtained a whopping 1,000 points when she won the WDSF Oceania Championship held in 2023 in Sydney, Australia - which led to her making the Olympics too.

In second place in the rankings is B-Girl Riko from Japan with Stefani from Ukraine in third, Holy Molly from Australia in fourth and Hannah from Australia coming in within the top five.

In sixth place is Ayane from Japan, seventh is Anti from Italy and in eighth is G-Clef from Australia.

In the 2024 Olympics, Japan's Ami came first in the B-Girl breaker category and took home gold, Dominika Banevič from Lithuania came second and Liu Qingyi from China took home bronze.

However, as you may've noticed, none of the top three Olympians even made the World DanceSport Federation's World Ranking list.

And Raygun's world domination doesn't just end there, with sources saying she has multiple opportunities coming her way to monopolise on her new-found fame with offers from TV networks coming in left, right and center.

One person even said she would make a great contestant in I'm A Celeb... Get Me Out of Here!
