An autopsy on a French streamer, known for gaming and extreme challenges, has shed more light on his death.

Jean Pormanove - who amassed thousands of followers with his content - concerned viewers when he appeared to pass away while on a nearly 12-day Kick broadcast on August 18.

Police confirmed he was found in a room which had been rented for streaming in Contes, near Nice in France.

The content the 46-year-old, real name Raphaël Graven, produced had long proved to be controversial as he was allegedly seen on camera being mistreated.

He was reportedly slapped, force-fed, strangled, and shot with a paintball gun for 'entertainment' purposes.

The Times of India reported that Pormanove had been subject to ‘ten days and nights of torture’.

However, French newspaper Le Parisien noted the Nice prosecutor’s office said that an autopsy conducted on the streamer revealed that his cause of death ‘was not traumatic in origin and was not linked to the intervention of a third party’.

The prosecutor’s office also added that Pormanove had previously experienced cardiac issues and had been undergoing treatment for his thyroid gland.

The stream when Pormanove died also featured two other streamers named Owen Cenazandotti (Naruto) and Safine Hamadi (Safine).

The pair had previously been questioned by authorities in January after accusations they were mistreating vulnerable individuals to make money during online events.

Pormanove was interviewed in January as a possible victim, however, he denied suffering any violence at the hands of the duo and claimed that the incidents were 'staged'.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Kick told LADbible Group that it was 'deeply saddened' by the news and promised to rigorously review the circumstances pertaining to his death.

They stated: "We are urgently reviewing the circumstances and collaborating with relevant stakeholders. Kick's community guidelines are designed to protect creators, and we are committed to enforcing them across our platform."

Pormanove’s family have also spoken out following the sudden death of the popular streamer. His sister has said she believes he died of 'exhaustion' and argued his death was unacceptable.

In a statement, she said: "I was very, very proud of what my brother became.

“I didn't watch everything, but I think he shouldn't have died like that, that he died of exhaustion. What he went through is unacceptable."

Rapper Drake is apparently planning to cover the funeral costs alongside online streamer Adin Ross.
