Walmart's tiny homes are selling fast - here's exactly what they cost
The keys to your own home could be within reach, thanks to Walmart.
Owning a home in 2024 is no easy feat but the superstore has come up with a ‘fantastic’ solution to the problem.
The major retailer now has an entire section of its website dedicated to ‘Tiny Home Kits’, to make getting the keys to your own pad a whole lot easier - and cheaper.
Ranging from $13,000 to $29,990, there’s a huge range of pop-up homes (and garden sheds) on offer that have been highly rated by customers on ease of build, affordability, and delivery.

On TikTok, people have shared their thoughts, with many excited by the creative concept. One wrote, "I’m putting two of them together for a tiny house empire." Whilst another said: "For us single folks, this is great!" But some are less convinced, as a third social media user highlighted: "Not bad at all, until you have to buy land, get permits for building foundation, arrange water and sewage to be built, and get power out there..."

Referred to as an ‘exquisitely designed modern villa’, this is one of Walmart’s most popular tiny home kits, and is designed for living and working. There are four sizes available from 15’ by 20’ to 19’ by 20’, depending on what you’re looking for.
What’s included?
The tiny home boasts an open-plan layout which comprises a bedroom, living room, kitchen, and dining room. There is also a separate washroom concealed by walls.
The product description says the home has a 'luxury interior design' with easy and fast installation. It's demountable and relocatable - excellent news if you like to travel.
It's worth noting that Walmart warns the tiny home is not strong enough to withstand storms, tornados, hurricanes, floods, blizzards.
Best Barns Arlington Wood Storage Shed Kit, 12 x 20ft, $9,256
If you’re on the search for a garden shed but don’t want the hassle of building one from scratch, may we point you in the direction of the Arlington Shed Kit. It comes equipped with a ‘stylish walk-in’ door with plenty of room inside for storing tools and equipment. You could also use the shed as a relaxing space when you need some quiet time with plenty of room for small furniture and accessories.
What’s included?
Everything required to build the shed is included in the kit, bar flooring and shingles. Doors arrive pre-built with pre-cut roof trusses, wood gussets, wall framing, and trim for easy assembly. That's what we like to hear.
Well Done 1 Home Kit, 12 x 16ft, $25,895
One of the most unique designs on offer, the Well Done 1 Home Kit comes in at 96 square feet with a roof deck and spiral staircase. According to the product description, it can be used as a beach pad, workshop, office, or creative space.
It's done down well with customers too, as one five-star review reads: "What in good heavens. This arrived via container ship. I live in Kansas. Price was well worth it with delivery like that."

This is one of Walmart's most premium offers with a roof deck, roof storage area, sliding glass doors, and deck railings. The kit comes with everything needed to create the tiny home except electrical fixtures, nails, and interior finishes. It will look good in the garden, that's for sure.
