Donald Trump has shared his thoughts on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's engagement.
As many fans have predicted for some time, Kelce got down on one knee to his music superstar girlfriend, and she said yes.
The celebrity couple shared their exciting news on Instagram yesterday (August 26) alongside a series of photos of the moment Kelce popped the question.
"Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married," Swift penned on the post.

Their engagement quickly became worldwide news and even made its way to the White House.
During a conference yesterday, a reporter asked President Trump about the pair. "The world wants your reaction," she told the POTUS.

Trump replied: "I think that he's a great player and a great guy, and I think that she's a terrific person. So I wish them a lot of luck."

The president's sentiments were a significant U-turn compared to his previous remarks about the singer. At the beginning of the month, Trump said he 'can't stand [Swift]'.
"Just look at Woke singer Taylor Swift," he said on Truth Social. "Ever since I alerted the world as to what she was by saying on TRUTH that I can’t stand her (HATE!). She was booed out of the Super Bowl and became, NO LONGER HOT."
Noting the president's change of tune, someone said on Twitter: "He thinks she’s terrific now? Interesting."
"'She’s a terrific person' as he was hating on her on Twitter LITERALLY a month ago," said a second.

Meanwhile, others pointed out that while Swift and Kelce's engagement is exciting, there are more pressing topics that the president should be focusing on.
Someone penned on Twitter: "The US has bigger issues going on and they’re asking the president about his opinion on Taylor’s engagement announcement…"
"Hows this anything related to his position rn, Taylor engagement is big but doesn't affect anyone at all," a different person penned.

Somebody else sarcastically said: "Honestly I’m glad they asked about this. I really wanted to hear his thoughts on this."
Also taking issue with the report's line of questioning, a different person wrote on social media: "Why is the president being asked this? He has a billion other things to answer and we ask him this?"
Arguably, a more pressing topic of discussion could be Trump's efforts to mediate a peace deal between Ukraine and Russia.
The president has recently met with both Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelenskyy to host talks on the matter. An agreement has yet to be made, but it was announced that there has been 'progress'.
