Slipknot rockstar Sid Wilson has suffered serious injuries after he 'set himself on fire'.

The heavy metal rocker took to social media to share with his fans from a hospital bed that he is 'okay' after he had been involved in an 'explosion'... all while nurses and doctors looked him over.

The 47-year-old, who is in a relationship with Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne's daughter Kelly - the mother of Wilson's only child, can be seen talking to his phone while shaking as he insists to fans that he is okay.

In the five-minute-long recording he can be heard describing the extent of his injuries, telling listeners that he is burned everywhere.

The US DJ is visibly in some discomfort as he speaks to the camera, saying: "Hi everybody, I had an explosion in my face, I’m okay, I’m going to be okay. But I did have some serious burns to my face and my arms."

Before later adding: "I'm singed everywhere, my eyebrows are singed, my mouth has blistered, my arms pretty bad, both my arms."

He explains to viewers that the reason for the camera shaking is because he is shaking himself, and he tells Slipknot fans that he will continue with the tour as soon as he is fit.

He said: "I’m going to be all right, you guys. I don’t care what it takes, I will see you on tour."

Medical staff throughout the recording can be seen 'working' on him and he even underwent an X-ray while speaking into his phone.

The X-ray was of his chest and was to make sure that he had not inhaled any flames from the explosion.

A second video he uploaded to his Instagram is 15 minutes long, and was a live stream from his Story that he posted.

It shows Wilson in the back of an emergency vehicle, donning huge, clunky black glasses, with what looks like vaseline rubbed on his face where he has been burnt, and wires strapped to him to monitor his heart rate.

So how did this all happen then?

Well, his partner Osbourne also spoke on the video as she warned fans of the dangers of playing with 'burn piles'.

Despite suffering serious burns, Slipknot has issued a statement saying Wilson will be on stage to open the tour on September 1. (sidthe3rd/Instagram)

She said: "This is why you don’t f*** with burn piles. He literally set himself on fire, exploded everything."

Posting a statement on Instagram about the incident, the band also addressed what had happened.

His band issued the following statement on Instagram: “Our brother Sid Wilson was in an accident today and sustained burns across his body.

“He’s recovering with his family and will still join us on stage at Rocklahoma next weekend.

“He thanks everyone for the well wishes, and will see you all soon.”

Slipknot’s world tour ‘Here Comes the Pain’, which is quite a fitting name after Wilson injuries, kicks off on next Sunday (September 1) in Oklahoma, and will conclude in Austria on June 12, 2025.
