Elon Musk's first wife has revealed the one reason she thinks her marriage to the billionaire ended and explained why the relationship 'sucked'.
Musk is certainly never far away from the headlines after his controversial stint heading up the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
The SpaceX founder claimed that he'd saved $65 billion due to various government cuts, which its site says is a 'combination of asset sales, contract/lease cancellations and renegotiations, fraud and improper payment deletion, grant cancellations, interest savings, programmatic changes, regulatory savings, and workforce reductions'.

Away from his now-past work however and a very public 'break up' with Donald Trump, the Tesla founder's relationships have been put under the magnifying glass once more after comments his ex-wife made in an op-ed resurfaced.

Musk is said to have at least 14 children, while he has also been divorced three times.
Having been married to Justine Wilson from 2000 to 2008, he then married actor Talulah Riley in 2010, divorced her in 2012, then remarried in 2013 and divorced again in 2016. He's since been linked to rapper Grimes, while he also shares four children with Shivon Zilis.

First wife Wilson spoke about her time being married to Musk in a tell-all 2010 Marie Claire op-ed titled 'America's Messiest Divorce'.
And according to Wilson, the red flags began at the wedding reception back in 2000 when Musk allegedly told his wife: "I am the alpha in this relationship."
She went on to claim Musk said to her, 'If you were my employee, I would fire you', as she explained in the op-ed what 'sucked' most about being married to one of the most affluent men on the planet.
After Musk told her to adopt a 'Hollywood look', Wilson said: "I had turned into a trophy wife—and I sucked at it. I wasn’t detail-oriented enough to maintain a perfect house or be a perfect hostess. I could no longer hide my boredom when the men talked and the women smiled and listened."

A car accident that took place in 2008 made Wilson realize things were over between herself and Musk.
She added: "My first thought wasn't, 'Thank God nobody's hurt'. It was, 'My husband is going to kill me'.
“And in my mind's eye, I could suddenly see myself: a woman who'd gotten very thin, and very blonde, stumbling out of a very expensive car with the front-left wheel smashed in.

"I didn't want to be a sideline player in the multimillion-dollar spectacle of my husband's life. I wanted equality. I wanted partnership. I wanted to love and be loved, the way we had before he made all his millions."
