Donald Trump has responded to claims that his son Barron is struggling at NYU while golfing with his granddaughter Kai.
Barron, the 19-year-old son of Trump and First Lady Melania, is attending NYU's Stern School of Business, which is seen as one of America's top business schools.
The teenager recently moved from Manhattan to attend classes at NYU’s campus in the capital, with reports emerging that Barron has been finding it a struggle to make new friends and was coming across as 'awkward'.
Despite that, the POTUS claimed Barron is doing well at NYU, after Kai, the eldest daughter of Donald Trump Jr., asked him during a golfing session: "How's Barron doing at NYU?"

"Good, he’s doing good," Trump immediately responded. "He’s a good boy. He loves you."
The president continued: "He said, ‘Say hello to Kai, dad'. I said, ‘Why don't you come out and watch [them play golf]?’ He said – She's so cute."
Earlier this year, Kaya Walker spoke with Vanity Fair about Barron - a move that ultimately saw her lose her job as the president of NYU College Republicans.

"He’s sort of like an oddity on campus," she told the outlet. "He goes to class, he goes home."
It wasn't long until she was criticized online for her sentiments, with the College Republicans of America (CRA) saying that her comments her 'inappropriate' and in conflict with its 'values and principles'.
Walker was forced to step down from her role and quickly spoke out for herself to address the controversy.
"I’ve been killing myself trying to support the conservative movement. Everybody knows that it’s an uphill battle being a Republican at NYU," she told The New York Post.

Walker continued: "I’ve put my everything into building up my chapter. I built [attendance] up exponentially. It’s been insane, especially this past year, we’ve seen such a rise in membership and had such a great time."
Before doing his studies in Washington D.C, Barron was transported to and from the New York campus in a convoy of blacked-out Secret Service SUVs, sailing directly out of Trump Tower some 50 blocks away to an unmarked garage where Barron could get to class.
While Walker was pretty critical of Barron at university in New York, other classmates said the teen was quite the 'ladies' man', PEOPLE reported.

"He’s tall and handsome. A lot of people seem to think he’s pretty attractive — yes, even liberal people like him," another student said, though one scoffed at the suggestion, saying 'he's hardly here long enough to chat with anyone let alone flirt'.
