As Gypsy Rose Blanchard celebrated her 33rd birthday, shocking crime scene photos from the scene of her mother's murder were leaked online.

On June 27, Gypsy Rose, who was imprisoned for seven years for her involvement in the killing of her mom, celebrated her 33rd birthday.

Since being released from prison almost eight months ago, Gypsy has been settling into her newfound freedom - which has included filing for divorce from her husband who she wed while behind bars, rekindling an old romance and even announcing her pregnancy.

But on the day she was celebrating her birthday, the forensic crime scene photographs of the murder scene of Claudine 'Dee Dee' Blanchard were leaked online.

Dee Dee was stabbed 17 times in June 2015 by Gypsy's boyfriend at the time, Nicholas Godejohn, who she had met online.

It is believed Gypsy was the victim of Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy at the hands of her mother, which is both a mental illness and a form of child abuse.

Nicholas was handed a life sentence in prison for Dee Dee's murder, while Gypsy was sentenced to 10 years for conspiring in her death.

The crime scene photographs that have made their way online show the home in which Gypsy and Dee Dee lived in for a number of years, as well as evidence pointing to the brutal crime carried out - such as blood stains and cigarette butts.

Photographs of Dee Dee's deceased body were also uploaded, making for incredibly shocking viewing.

Now, April Johns - who claims she used to operate as a spokesperson for Gypsy Rose following her mom's death - has revealed how the pictures went viral.

Johns, who runs a podcast called the Good Wives Network, said in a TikTok video: "The link that's going around to a drive is my files.

"Yes, it came from my Patreon. Nice of you all to take it out of there and then spread it all over the place, it's really nice of you.

"But I don't really care because here's the thing, that you guys aren't really understanding is those documents, those crime scene photos, they have been public for the last nine years, anyone could have put a FOIA [Freedom of Information Act] in at anytime they wanted to and gotten those photos - and many have and they have been out for years."

She continued: "The fact that you're just now seeing them means that you're probably just now coming to the case, or you chose to be wilfully ignorant for the last eight years and you know just didn't bother to look for them... because they've been everywhere for a very long time."

Gypsy Rose and Johns are currently in a legal battle after the Blanchards filed a lawsuit against her for defamation, breach of contract, unjust enrichment, false light and fraud.

It is understood that back in 2017, Gypsy and her parents signed a life rights option agreement with Johns, which is commonly used to grant producers the ability to possess the rights to someones life story to be used in a documentary.

Gypsy announced she is set to become a mother in January of next year, and even though her divorce from soon-to-be ex-husband Ryan Anderson hasn't been finalized, she insists she and her current boyfriend Ken Urker are excited to become parents.

She also said she will give her baby 'all the things she wanted in a mother'.
