Kirk's wife, Erika, spoke out for the first time after 22-year-old suspect Tyler Robinson, of Utah, was arrested and identified on Friday.
The 36-year-old dropped an emotional tribute to her late husband on Instagram in a series of images and videos, including intimate moments by the side of his open casket.
Erika could be seen bowing her head over the coffin and kissing Kirk's hands.
Through tears, she could be heard saying 'I love you' several times, followed by 'God bless you.'

In a livestream conducted from Turning Point USA's office in Phoenix, Arizona, Erika stood behind a podium beside the chair her husband used to sit in during his podcast filming.
Erika explained how Kirk loved America, nature, and the Chicago Cubs baseball team, but 'most of all', he 'loved his children', adding: "And he loved me. With all his heart. And he made sure I knew that everyday."
The 36-year-old also addressed the 'evil-doers responsible for my husband's assassination', though she didn't specifically name the accused.

Adding that Kirk was killed because he 'preached a message of patriotism, faith and of God’s merciful love', she said: "You have no idea the fire that you have ignited within this wife, the cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battle cry.
"They should all know this: if you thought that my husband's mission was powerful before you have no idea, you have no idea what you just have unleashed across this entire country and this world."
