Being parents of 22 kids already sounds hard enough, but after a fine issued from a court appearance spurred by a $70,000 Disney vacation, splashing hundreds of dollars on groceries is the last thing the Radfords need.

Sue Radford has lifted the lid on just how much she and her husband Noel are forking out each time they visit the grocery store - and it’s enough to make your bank card shudder.

Despite their pricey summer, the Radfords insist they’re not living the high life, as Sue told the Sun previously: "We don’t claim benefits, the pie company is very successful and so is our media business.

"We work hard but we’re not millionaires!

"The nastiness is upsetting though. We just want to be able to give our children the best possible life.”

The couple, who star in their own reality show 22 Kids and Counting and run Radford’s Pie Company, shared a snap on Instagram of their kitchen worktops completely submerged under Aldi shopping bags - the UK's most budget grocery store.

Fans were quick to guess how much the grocery haul had set them back - with many suggesting around $260.

But Sue quickly corrected them, revealing: "Lots of you guessed pretty close but most guessed around £200 [$263. The actual total was £375.65 [$494.17]."

Yikes! Just shy of $500 each time they go to the shop.

Although it's hardly a shock, given that most of their kids still live at home.

The family’s finances have long been a talking point online, especially after they were taken to court earlier this year over their children’s school attendance following that now-infamous $70,000 Disney World trip.

Back in April, Sue and Noel treated their enormous family - plus a few partners - to the Florida holiday of dreams, spending a reported $35,245 on flights alone.

But the Disney fairytale ended with a reality check when they were found guilty of failing to ensure regular attendance for four of their children, landing them with fines of $87 per child and $158 in court costs.

The trip got more expensive as 24-year-old Millie Radford and her two children missed the flight after it emerged their ESTA certificates had expired, and Noel stayed behind with Millie and her family as they reapplied before flying out the following day.

Only Chloe Radford and her daughter Mia are missing out on the family's once-in-a-lifetime trip, as she gave birth to her second child.

Between court appearances, long-haul holidays, and a weekly grocery bill that could rival a mortgage payment, Britain’s biggest family seem to be taking it all in stride - pie by pie, and shopping trolley by shopping trolley.
