People are leaping to social media in heated debate after Twitch streamer Amouranth revealed she was sent a gobsmacking and mysterious gift.

When I get something unexpected in the post, it tends to be a pack of hairbands or BlueTack I forgot I'd ordered on Amazon Prime.

Now, imagine getting a surprise lump sum of money, or a new iPhone to replace your cracked and laggy old one.

Twitch streamer Amouranth didn't have to imagine it, because she actually received such a package.

Just wait until you see what's actually inside. Move over Molly-Mae or any other influencer with their latest PLT haul unpacking, because this one is much more entertaining.

Seemingly not nervous at all about what a stranger had decided to send her in the post, American cosplayer Amouranth live-streamed her unboxing of the delivery on her Twitch channel.

In the video, she can be seen delving into the box, trying to figure out who on earth could have sent her the outrageous items lying inside.

"Is this a YouTuber who's trying to pull a prank on me or some s**t?" she says.

Amouranth was left baffled by the generous gift.

Indeed, it would seem like a prank, as inside is a treasure-trove of goodies beyond most people's wildest dreams.

As if an iPhone wasn't enough, the anonymous viewer also sent the cosplayer $70,000 (£60,000) in cash.

The sender also chucked in a taser for good measure. A rogue choice, but you never know when it might come in handy... right?!

Ultimately, as Amouranth resolves: "What the actual f**k?"

Amouranth received cash, an iPhone and a taser for good measure.

While the sender didn't reveal their identity, the box did come with a note which had two phone numbers for a pre-paid bodyguard service written on it.

Amouranth reads: "I have provided a few defence essentials as well as some cash to ensure no amount of financial tampering can hinder your resolution."

The sender also added their own number, but Amouranth reflected: "There’s not like a creepy, ‘Run away with me, please marry me,’ like there normally is."

The gift came with a note, but the anonymous sender didn't reveal their identity.

The gift follows in the wake of Amouranth publicly accusing her husband - who she has split from - of being abusive and controlling.

He allegedly threatened to physically harm the Twitch streamer and Amouranth expressed concern about his control of her finances.

People have since taken to social media in shock over the mystery package, with divided responses over the gift.

One said: "The more rich and famous you get the more free s**t you receive. Crazy fr."

"I really don’t understand why people get upset when Amouranth receives donos and gifts from her community. For whatever reason when a male streamer is successful it’s called grifting. But when it’s a woman, y’all tones change," another added.

A third commented: "I would defff not use that iphone lol... you know its got some spying software on that shiz."

A final resolved: "Can bro sauce me like 100 dollars please."
