TV host comes under fire for using Greta Thunberg’s autism as an insult

Julia Hartley-Brewer decided to defend Andrew Tate while taking a swipe at the climate activist.

TalkTV host Julia Hartley-Brewer has been slammed after insulting Greta Thunberg.

Earlier this week, Andrew Tate lashed out at the climate activist by boasting about his extensive car collection, taking a swipe at her effort to reduce carbon emissions.

“Hello Greta Thunberg," he wrote. "I have 33 cars.

“My Bugatti has a w16 8.0L quad-turbo. My TWO Ferrari 812 competizione have 6.5L v12s.

"This is just the start.”

He added: “Please provide your email address so I can send a complete list of my car collection and their respective enormous emissions.”

However, the 19-year-old roasted the controversial media personality with a few simple words.

She replied: “Yes, please do enlighten me. Email me at smalld**[email protected].”

But bizarrely, Hartley-Brewer has now entered the chat by backing the former kickboxer while insulting Thunberg’s autism.

The TV show host wrote: “I’d choose Andrew Tate’s life *every single time* over the life of a half-educated, autistic, doom-mongering eco-cultist. And the only car I own is a diesel Tiguan.”

While Hartley-Brewer has since deleted the word ‘autistic’ from her original tweet, many were quick to condemn the host for her ableist comments.

Guardian columnist Owen Jones took a screenshot of her remarks and weighed in: “Julia Hartley-Brewer deleted her tweet in which she spat out ‘autistic; as an insult, but the internet never forgets.

“Just like Tate, it must really rile Hartley-Brewer that this 19 year old autistic woman has achieved so much, and isn’t just some vile right wing shock jock.”

However, yesterday (December 29), the Brit addressed the fiery tweet.

She explained: “I've deleted my previous tweet that mentioned Greta's autism because - although I only referred to it because she states it in her own Twitter biog - people decided to take offence at a fact.

“Even though they had no problem with this woman calling a man ‘small d**k’. Yawn. 2/2.”

UNILAD has approached Julia Hartley-Brewer for comment.

If that didn’t already cause quite a stir, Tate has just been arrested in Romania in connection to a human trafficking investigation after police raided his luxury home, as per the Daily Mail.

Atena Observer claims authorities were at the property for up to five hours and the operation is being headed up by the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT).

DIICOT released a statement, saying: "The prosecutors of the Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism - Central Structure together with police officers from the Bucharest Organized Crime Brigade implemented 5 home search warrants in a case in which investigations under the aspect of committing the crimes of constituting an organized criminal group, human trafficking and rape."

Romanian media says the raids were carried out because prosecutors wanted to make sure the Tate brothers were in the country.
