Three rappers missing for 10 days after canceled performance

Michigan authorities are continuing the search

Three musicians have been declared missing for over a week following a canceled performance.

Several Michigan agencies are investigating the missing persons' case.

The missing men in question have been identified by Detroit police as Armani Kelly, 28, Dante Wicker, 31 and Montoya Givens, 31.

All three men are rappers and were set to perform at the Lounge 31 club, which had been canceled.

Since that date, no one has reported seeing Kelly, Wicker or Givens in the ten days since January 21.

Michael McGinnis, commander of major crimes, has since released a statement on the matter.

He said: "It's our understanding that the performance got canceled, and from there -- we just have a whole lot of unanswered questions that we are trying to find out."

The commander added that all three of the victims' phones 'stopped having activity' over a week ago.

Praising one of the family members of the victims, McGinnis added: "The mother of one of the victims, the next day, made a report of the missing person.

"That mother became very proactive in the investigation and started searching for her vehicle through OnStar."

It's been reported that the mother found the car - a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox - in Warren, Michigan. Following this, local officials were able to recover the car on January 23.

Four days after the car was recovered, information about the three disappearances began to circulate throughout the news.

"Once that happens," McGinnis explained, "other family members of the other missings come to realise that that's a friend of their loved ones and they haven't seen them either, so then they both get reported missing."

Hundreds of people have since come forward to share their words of support for the missing men.

One Facebook user wrote: "Praying they’re found safe and sound."

"I hope they are found safe," another posted.

A third added: "How heartbreaking. My heart goes out to the families."

"TEN days ago! Now I feel that mother's pain and anguish!" another Facebook user said.

Kelly's fiancée, Taylor Perrin, has also called out the police department.

She said: "I just don’t understand how this happened and how there’s three grown men missing and nobody seems to know anything."

In a final statement, McGinnis said: "We want to find them and get them home to their loved ones.

"Really think about the victims' families in this case, they have no answers. They don't know where their loved one is.

"We need help.

"If somebody knows something, we're asking please call and share that information with us."
