If you’re fortunate enough to have landed a Super Bowl ticket, there’s a few rules you’ll need to adhere to.

After seeing off the Washington Commanders by a monster score of 55 - 23, the Philadelphia Eagles booked their spot in the Super Bowl.

While the Kansas City Chiefs left it late against the Bills to secure their 7th Super Bowl appearance.

The infamous Halftime show is fronted by rapper Kendrick Lamar, who is hot off the heels of his Grammys success for his 2024 track 'Not Like Us'.

The 37-year-old Grammy winner is joined by fellow music star SZA as he takes to the iconic stage during the game.

Super Bowl rivalry renewed

We’ve seen the Chiefs and Eagles face off in the final only once before, and that was two years ago when the Chiefs triumphed against their rivals in an epic bout.

The Chiefs left it late again that day, winning by 38 to 35 - with 17 of those coming in the final quarter, where the Eagles could only muster eight.

The rivalry will be resumed on Sunday (February 9), will the Eagles make it two Super Bowls or will the Chiefs add a fifth to their trophy cabinet?

Rules for supporters watching the Super Bowl

Those who managed to get their hands on tickets to watch the action in person must follow a lengthy list of rules as they watch the game unfold at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Animals

Yes, if you had the intention to bring a camel, frog, or domestic animal in then unsurprisingly you'll be turned away.

The exception of course is service animals.

Drones

It you thought you could fly a drone around to take a piece of the action home with you as a memento, think again.

The venue writes: "The possession, operation, or use of an unmanned aircraft system (UAS) or drone is prohibited on Superdome, Smoothie King Center, or Champions Square property without prior, written permission from management."

Other prohibited items

There are plenty of other items that could also land you in trouble if you're caught with them, including:

  • Backpacks/knapsacks
  • Banners (large or in poor taste)
  • Bottles
  • Cans
  • Clubs
  • Containers
  • Contraband
  • Glass
  • iPads/Tablets
  • Outside food and drink
  • Unauthorized marketing/soliciting/vending
  • Video and audio recording devices (includes GoPros, etc.)

Clear Bags

If you're bringing a bag to the game with you, you must make sure it's see-through and the correct size.

The venue explains: "The Superdome is fully compliant with the NFL’s “All Clear” bag policy for NFL games. This is a league-wide policy that applies to all stadiums.

"Any bag other than a clear vinyl bag (12”x12”x6”), and clutch bags/purses larger than a 4.5” x 6.5” is prohibited."

Smoking

There is no smoking allowed on the premises of the Superdrome - that's inside and outside, including the use of electronic cigarettes and vapes.

Re-entry

The stadium follows a no re-entry rule, but in the event that a fan needs to exit they must first be referred to an 'experience ambassador' or 'ticket supervisor', and assigned to a particular gate.

There they will then approve your exit and return if warranted.

The venue cited the following examples of reasons someone may leave the ground:

  • Medical emergencies such as needing medication
  • Service animal needs to go potty

General eviction policy

A number of behaviors can see you booted from the grounds, including the following:

  • Use of profanity or unacceptable language of any type
  • Possession of illegal or unauthorized items
  • Inappropriate or offensive dress
  • Public intoxication
  • Entering or attempting to enter any “off limit” area such as the playing surface, stage area, backstage, or restroom of the opposite sex
