Strict rules people must follow to attend Super Bowl

Make sure you don't break these important rules on February 8

It's bound to be a hectic Super Bowl Sunday, but you'd better make sure you know the rules if you're planning to watch the game in person.

The 60th edition of the Super Bowl will see the New England Patriots lock horns with the Seattle Seahawks in a blockbuster bout.

Donald Trump won't be there, but thousands of fans will be flocking to watch the clash in person, as the Patriots look to win the famous trophy for a seventh time and become the all-time leading Super Bowl champions.

In stark contrast, the Seahawks have just one Super Bowl title to their name, with their single triumph coming over the Denver Broncos in 2013.

If you're set on witnessing the historic game yourself, you must be aware of the strict rules in order to gain entry.

Where is the 2026 Super Bowl being held?

Super Bowl LX is taking place in the Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, near San Francisco.

The gigantic stadium is the home of the San Francisco 49ers, and every one of its 68,500 seats are destined to be taken by dedicated supporters and lovers of America's game.

The contest is set to get underway at 3:30pm PT, 6:30 pm EST, on February 8, with recent Grammy winner Bad Bunny to perform during the highly-anticipated halftime show.

What rules do people have to follow at Super Bowl LX?

Unsurprisingly, for such a huge event, rules have been put in place for those attending to ensure everyone gets inside smoothly.

There will be 'significantly heightened' security screening in and around the Levi's Stadium to create a safe environment for the biggest day on the American sporting calendar.

The NFL has also urged fans not to bring bags to the game to speed up entry into the stadium, with strict limits on the size of bags allowed in place.

As a result, the only bags that will be permitted in the stadium are: clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags not bigger than 12" x 6" x 12", including clear backpacks, clear fanny packs and cinch bags and small, non-clear bags that do not exceed 4.5" x 6.5" in size, but are brought in inside a plastic bag and a one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag.

In addition, no buckles, grommets/hardware or decor can conceal any part of the bag, while a logo can only be on one side of it.

Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items after thorough inspection at the gate.
