People urged not to copy world champion diver who ignored ‘no women’ sign on waterslide

Let's just hope no one was waiting at the bottom

It turns out not reading the small print can actually have some pretty painful and embarrassing consequences.

Look, let's not lie, when do any of us ever really read the instructions on anything or read signs and well, if it says 'not for girls'? That's just going to make me want to do it even more.

Alas, there have been times where my Ikea furniture has come cascading down and all I've been left with is a pile of screws and wooden boards - and women are now revealing how they quickly learnt their lesson after ignoring a sign on a steep ride warning them from using it.

Australian high diver Rhiannan Iffland shared a video of herself on TikTok taking on a slide at Austria’s Area 47 adventure park, despite it featuring a sign saying women shouldn't go down it.

Obviously, Iffland ignored the warning and off she went down the ride anyway, noting: "Went for it anyway. Just once but I did it!"

Granted, Iffland did survive the ride, so you'd be forgiven slightly for interpreting it as some sort of sexist take.

However, other women have since come forward, revealing that's not actually the case.

Floods of women quickly took to the comments section to explain why women going on the slides might not be the best idea - and it's largely down to what's been dubbed the 'waterslide enema'.

An enema is when liquid is inserted into the butt to help relieve constipation - I don't think I need to explain what these women were talking about when using the phrase.

One social media user wrote: "Unfortunately I got a water slide enema. Peed out half the swimming pool in the toilet from my butt. I literally couldn’t stand upright after it happened. Weirdest thing I’ve ever experienced."

Obviously men going on the slide could also experience this, but women pointed out that females simply have 'too many holes' to be dealing with the potential influx of water.

One woman explained: "I have gone to one of those. [...] Not an enema but the other one. Deep cleaning that baby box. Never again."

Another added: "Goes into places it really shouldn’t then gushes out when you stand up not fun."

"| went on a slide like this, water straight up both holes," wrote a third.

Iffland didn't share any details of what happened to her in the aftermath of going on the slide, but there must have been a reason why she chose to do it 'just once'.

Needless to say, this is one 'not for girls' sign that I'd be willing to adhere to.
