Jake Paul has made Angela Carini a huge offer amid the 2024 Olympic boxing controversy.

Algeria's Imane Khelif's fight against Carini earlier this week was a contentious one.

Italian boxer Carini abandoned the welterweight 16 round bout after just a few punches and 46 seconds of fighting.

She explained in a later interview that she 'didn't succeed' because she simply 'couldn't fight anymore'.

The International Olympic Committee has reaffirmed Khelif is eligible to compete in this year's Olympics, despite previously being banned from taking part in other competitions.

"Everyone competing in the women's category is complying with the competition eligibility rules," IOC spokesperson Mark Adams said.

"They are women in their passports, and it's stated that this is the case that they are female."

The Algerian was disqualified from last year's IBA Women’s World Boxing Championships after she failed a gender eligibility test.

The International Boxing Association claimed this was due to elevated levels of testosterone.

Khelif failed due to IBA eligibility rules preventing athletes with XY chromosomes from competing in women’s events, Reuters reports.

As for Carini, it seems she has now been offered an opportunity from none other than YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul.

Taking to Twitter, the social media influencer said: "To Angela Carini although your dreams couldn’t come true today because of the crazy agendas that are at play in our world at the moment.

"I would love to offer you to fight on an MVP undercard. Internet help this find her."

Paul then followed up with another invitation to the boxer in her native Italian language.

Carini is yet to respond at the time of writing.

The boxer himself runs Most Valuable Promotions, which has a record of supporting women's boxing.

World champion Amanda Serrano is one of those who has featured in a prominent spot on one of Paul's card.

Carini bowed out of the match at theOlympics after less than a minute, a decision that shocked many.

However, the fighter has since come out and explained her reasoning.

Speaking to the press after the bout, Carini said: "This time I didn't succeed because I couldn't fight anymore.

"I put an end to the match because after the second blow, after years of experience in the ring and a life of fighting, I felt a strong pain in my nose.

"I said 'that's enough' because [...] I could not bring the match to an end. So I thought, maybe it's better to put an end to the match."
