Megan Fox advises women not to 'waste' energy on men following end of engagement to Machine Gun Kelly

Megan Fox has issued some advice for women following her engagement being called off

Relationships are certainly a tricky one, so much so that Megan Fox is seemingly done with them.

The actress announced recently that she and Machine Gun Kelly had called off their engagement, much to the surprise of fans, leaving many with questions over the current status of their relationship.

Fox and Kelly began dating back in 2020 after meeting on the set of Midnight in the Switchgrass.

In 2022 they went on to get engaged, with Fox even saying that 'drank each other's blood' to mark the occasion.

However, just a year later, Fox announced that the engagement to Kelly was called off.

Fox appeared on Alex Cooper's Call Her Daddy podcast earlier this year and opened up about her relationship status.

The actor refused to clarify the exact nature of their relationship together, though she did confirm that their engagement had been ended.

Alex Cooper asked her: "I feel like everyone has such an opinion on your guys relationship. You got engaged, then I think it was called off, then we don't know what's going on with you. How would you describe your relationship with MGK?"

Fox replied: "I think that what I've learned from being in this relationship is that it's not for public consumption, so I think as of now, I don't have a comment on like the status of the relationship per say.

"What I can say is that is what I refer to as being my twin soul and there will always be a tether to him no matter what. I can't say for sure what the capacity will be, but I will always be connected to him somehow."

She added: "Beyond that I'm not willing to explain. But all those things you said were accurate things that have occurred and I can see them being confusing or interesting to people and them being like, 'What's up?'"

Fox has never been on to shy away from being candid about her relationships to the public, previously detailing 'abusive relationships' in her poetry book.

Now, Fox had some practical advice for single women, as she's telling them not to 'waste' their time and energy on men.

During a segment with E! News' The Rundown host Erin Lim Rhodes at the Revolve Festival over the weekend, Fox was not holding back.

"I don't know if I'm the best person to give advice, because my advice is like just learn a skill or develop a hobby, and do not waste your energy on boys," she said.

Fox continued: "All they're going to do is drain you. Just move on. Invest in yourself."

Elsewhere in the interview, Fox did give MGK a shoutout after she was asked about ideal Coachella headliners.

"Well, obviously, I have to say Machine Gun Kelly," she said.

"I'm not in the modern era, so I would say, Guns N' Roses or, you know who I would love to see, is Weezer. Weezer's so fire."
