A death row inmate has surprised viewers with his response to being asked if he deserves the death penalty.
This death row clip of killer Scott Dozier has been doing the rounds on social media with viewers giving their opinion on his response.
The clip originally came from a Vice interview in 2019 that was supposed to be Dozier's last interview before his execution.

The killer had been sentenced for both the murder of Jeremiah Miller in 2002 and Jasen Greene in 2001.
Dozier had met Miller at a motel on the Las Vegas strip and had promised to help Miller buy ephedrine, a drug used to make meth, with the victim bringing $12,000 in cash.
However, Miller was killed upon arrival, and Dozier sawed the body in multiple pieces before hiding the remains in a suitcase. Greene was also allegedly shot in the back of the head by Dozier, with his remains being discovered in Phoenix.

The interviewer asked Dozier if he thought he deserved the penalty, to which he replied: "No, I don't actually. If the family of Jeremiah Miller him, they should have the opportunity to kill me, you know what I mean.
"So, I guess I do believe to some extent in an eye-for-eye, and I know how I would respond if somebody killed someone I loved and I knew they did it.
"If someone raped your sister the only thing you do is bail that person in jail, you know what I mean."
The interviewer then asked: "kill them?", to which Dozier replied: "I didn't say that I said bail them out of jail."

Viewers on TikTok have been reacting to his response, with one commenter saying: "No thoughts behind those eyes."
A second added: "He seems so reasonable that I actually am fully convinced it's a manipulation tactic."
A third added: "They don’t lie when they say “eyes are the windows to the soul” he can say whatever he wants but those eyes hold no remorse/emotion, completely blank."
Meanwhile, a fourth said: "Ppl have to understand why he's so chill. He understands there's nothing to be done, innocent or not, he's done. So why fight or be angry."

Dozier would have been the first inmate to be executed by the state of Nevada, but died by suicide in prison in January 2019.
This followed a lengthy battle to carry out his death by the state.
Dozier had received the death sentence in October 2007 after being convicted for the murder of Miller, after being given a 22-year sentence in 2005 for Greene's murder.

According to Vice, his execution was delayed twice, but Dozier said he wasn't a 'suicidal person' and would rather 'be dead than be in prison'.
