Pam Bondi has broken her silence after being fired as US attorney general by President Trump amid reports he'd grown 'frustrated' with her.
It was announced yesterday (April 2) that Bondi will no longer serve as attorney general and will now be focusing her attention on the 'private sector', according to Trump.
"Pam Bondi is a Great American Patriot and a loyal friend, who faithfully served as my Attorney General over the past year," the POTUS penned on social media, announcing Bondi's departure.
"Pam did a tremendous job overseeing a massive crackdown in Crime across our Country, with Murders plummeting to their lowest level since 1900."

He continued: "We love Pam, and she will be transitioning to a much needed and important new job in the private sector, to be announced at a date in the near future."

Bondi is being replaced by deputy attorney general Todd Blanche, who will be Acting Attorney General for the foreseeable.
While Trump only had nice things to say about Bondi, there have been repeorts that suggested the president was growing 'frustrated' with her, per Sky News, because she wasn't moving fast enough in prosecuting his critics and adversaries.
Bondi has spoken out for herself after being let go and said she'll be working 'tirelessly' with Blanche over the next four weeks as he transitions into her role.
She added that she's 'thrilled' to be 'moving to an important private sector role'.

Bondi went on: "Leading President Trump’s historic and highly successful efforts to make America safer and more secure has been the honor of a lifetime, and easily the most consequential first year of the Department of Justice in American history.
"Since February 2025, we have secured the lowest murder rate in 125 years, secured first-ever terrorism convictions against members of Antifa, shattered domestic and transnational gangs across the country, taken custody of more than 90 key cartel figures, and won 24 favorable rulings at the Supreme Court.
"I remain eternally grateful for the trust that President Trump placed in me to Make America Safe Again."
Bondi's exit comes after she was accused of lying under oath by Ted Lieu during a very heated hearing about the Department of Justice's handling of the Epstein files.
During the proceedings she admitted that the president is mentioned numerous times in the files but that the documents didn't detail any wrongdoing by Trump.
Bondi insisted: "There is no evidence that Donald Trump has committed a crime. Everyone knows that. This has been the most transparent presidency."
"I’m going to put up another document from a witness who called the FBI’s National Threat Operations Center, because I believe you just lied under oath," Lieu hit back at the time. "There is ample evidence in the Epstein files."
The president has always denied any wrongdoing regarding his previous links to Jeffrey Epstein.
